  1. Check your emails if you have a PG account or have bought something from them recently (UPDATE: See below for more details).

I received an email from them this morning entitled "Take a survey, get a $20 gift".

It didn't take long to complete and I then received an email with a voucher for 20 USD.

I currently have FX 2 Pro and Amp 2 Pro and I can upgrade either one for 50 USD each.
So I will probably use the voucher to get FX 2 Elite for 30 USD.

Do you need the read the manual get it going or is it easy (for us non-manual readers)?

I didn't read anything! I didn't even try it in a DAW - for quick demos I always use Cantabile (free version).

I just inserted it into Cantabile routed my keyboard MIDI to Chordpotion and routed its MIDI o/p to MassiveX. Then played with the presets and got some really groovy things going on!

This video was also useful for a quickstart...

I'm very interested in https://mixedinkey.com/captain-plugins/captain-chords/ and have been keeping an eye out for sales on this. Hopefully, BF will have one. Nice to have all these options.

Yes I am keeping an eye on that one too Mesh. Don't think they had a BF deal last year so fingers crossed for this year.

Just trying chordpotion demo and really like it. Just..... gotta.... hang..... on.... for..... BF  😣

  5. Thanks Larry.

Kind of like an "EzKeys on steroids" MIDI plugin although obviously it works slightly differently. You feed it plain MIDI chords and it can create up to 4 lines of patterns (Top - melody, Chords, Bass and Extra).

You can apply one of the many built in presets to each line and apply many different randomisations to each line or globally.

Will give the demo a try for sure.

I noticed from TTF's VI-Control thread for last year that Feelyoursound had a 15% BF sale last year but I don't know if that was in addition to the existing bundle reductions. So I'm going to wait and see what happens this year for BF as I am also interested in Sundog Studio and Melodicflow.

  6. Thanks Larry.

Also noticed a couple of updates on their plugins so might be worth checking if you have any of them. e.g. Deleight is now v1.1.2 and Distortion now v1.0.1.

I also have Tube Modulator and Xenoverb which are both on v1.1 (no change for me). SEE BELOW...

EDIT: After checking in more detail it seems that Audiority are a bit lax at updating their in-app version numbers.
Here's a screenshot showing Control Panel's view of the version of Deleight installed versus the app itself.

The same is true of Distortion. So only update them if you like wasting time.

    I have emailed the developer!

  7. Sorry, my mistake I just checked and Melodyne was in the installer but it may be that the installer is generic for different editions as it looks as though you only get a Melodyne license with one of the higher editions (Acid Pro Next, Acid Pro Next 365 and Acid Pro Next Suite).

I have removed that misinformation from my post now.

See here for a comparison of editions....

  8. Thanks for your help Kenny.

I will have a deeper delve today.

EDIT: Yes that was it Kenny - wasn't expecting to find the download within the program itself but I guess Magix software tends to be a bit like that.

I have to say that I was impressed with the demo song (New World). I remember Acid from a good few years ago but never really considered it to be my kind of thing. However, it definitely looks worthy of further investigation (even though I got it for my daughter :) ) Some of the other posts in this thread have also piqued my interest 👍🏻  I was also surprised to see that it included Melodyne (Essential I assume) which I don't need as I have Editor but could resell to make the effective cost zero or maybe even a small profit!

  9. Glad to hear that you got it sorted Kenny.

I have finally got around to installing this and it installed OK and scanned all of my plugins without any dramas apart from one WaveShell vst.

Only issue is there are no loops. The installation program didn't offer to install any and l don't see any in my account. I thought it came with 9Gb of them? If so does anyone know how to get them? Thanks

Worked fine here, ZT. Maybe they’re on to us 🥴

Thanks Fleer! Yes you might be right. I have never had any luck with MF or GC which is why I have no orders with them looking at my accounts there.
Understandable with physical things like guitars etc where shipping costs would be astronomical but for emailed serials it seems a bit over the top.
I use VPNs with other US companies just fine when I need to but there's just something about their site.
I have tried all possible combinations but finally given up and asked someone US based to buy it on my behalf ;)

  11. Thanks Matthew!

Having a few problems trying this via vpn (connected via USA). When PayPal sends me back to MF I hit complete order and nothing happens 🤔

How are you vpn folk getting this to work?

Ok...finally figured it out.  I had to pick the Axe I/O as the OUTPUT device
before it would recognize it as the INPUT device.  How CRAZY is that?
When I would try to select it as the INPUT device I always got a message
stating "Unable to initialize Asio device.  Make sure your device is connected
and turned on", and it would not allow me select an input device.  But, when I
looked closely, I saw that I COULD select an OUTPUT device.  So, upon selecting
the Axe I/O as the OUTPUT device, it would recognize it as the INPUT device!
    CRAZY!!!!

Pleased that you figured it out Larry.

When I look at the Audio MIDI setup dialog box I notice that the input is ghosted out (and displays AXE IO ASIO) and only the output is selectable.
I guess that is the same issue you mention. It would seem sensible to allow you to select either the input or output port and then automatically default the other one to the same device. Would be even nicer if Amplitube auto-detected and if found auto-defaulted to the AXE IO Audio Interface (user changeable afterwards of course).

  13. Strange that Larry. I have recorded quite a few tracks with the AXE I/O and Amplitube without any issues using ASIO. A few are even using the Brian May module and it never missed a beat.

Assume you updated the firmware in the AXE I/O when you first got it and are running latest driver?

Did I miss a LABS launch in October? September had Moon Guitar.

I don't think there was one Fleer.  I make it 19 LABS libraries in total and I just realised that I am missing Music Box so downloading that one now.

Loving those Synth Wave patches in Opia.
