Ah ok thanks, I never got it for some reason. Figured it might turn up eventually but it never did. Oh well, good to know that's the upgrade price if I'm ever overflowing with funds (which I'm certainly not at the moment, lol).

I could tell something was off once it started being sold on Steam.

I used Cakewalk in the 90's when I had a Sound Blaster AWE32 enormous ISA general midi card. I still have a sentimental place in my heart for Cakewalk as a result. But currently I use Ableton Live. My brothers stayed with Sonar through the years and one of them sings the praises of CbB to me from time to time. I didn't gel with it when I first opened it so I never really gave it a chance. Also I worry that being free it might disappear one day and take my music with it. I'd rather pay for a DAW and have more certainty it will continue to be supported.

Reimund Dratwa started Fuse after he left PA and BRA. So the newer BRA plugins were written by another dev. Reimund is also behind Neold along with two other gents. It's pretty common in the industry. A few high profile examples I can think of: Sean Costello consulted for other companies and coded Audio Damage EOS before starting Valhalla DSP himself. Michael Carnes worked for Lexicon before starting Exponential Audio. Eric Persing worked for Roland before starting Spectrasonics. Atmosphere was built on an engine by UVI before they wrote their own code for Omnisphere.

This or Klirrton Grindstein? Or both? Lol. On holiday at the moment. Looking forward to demoing this one when I get home.

I'm right there with you on the GAS wrt Amp Sims. In the past two weeks I've bought a bunch of cab IRs, Audiority Solidus 8100, Overloud Th-U, Line6 Helix Native, and now Amp Room. I thought I was pretty much done after Th-U and Helix but this price for Amp Room was irresistible and I'm glad I got it because it sounds great!!! During the IK group buy I thought AmpliTube would be all I'd need. So naive.

I haven't seen Nebula N4 go on sale for a while. Wonder when that one will go back to $99? Last time it was on sale I didn't really understand what it was.

I decided to invest in myself this Black Friday rather than just invest in more plugins. OK I also invested in some plugins, I bought the LiquidSonics bundle, SSL FlexVerb, TC Icon Legacy bundle, some Ugritone IRs, drums and midis, Fat Lazy Cabs IRs. I mean at these prices, I'd be crazy not to 🙂 But what I'm really excited about is I bought 1 year subscriptions to TrueFire and to Groove3. I've always played keyboard, but I've decided it's time to branch out and learn the guitar, bass and perhaps drums too. I haven't got a bass yet, so I'm starting with electric guitar while I save for a bass, perhaps something like an Ibanez SR 800. I also figure I should start exploring more of the depth of some of the plugins and DAWs that I've bought over the past 18 months hence Groove3.

I'm the same. Considering that the V2 plugins were so buggy in some DAWs that I stopped using them altogether, I'm going to hold out until they remember to apply the sale to the upgrade price as well.
