Apparently I need to add a filter to my forum reader... 🤔🤢
Yeah ! I hear you . I ditched the virtual beer mug plugin that turns all the fugly people at the bar during Last Call into into Super Models !
I'm still looking to get a new filter over here myself .The Shamu's have been busting through the filters I had been formally been using .

What did you do ? Show them your copy of The Kama Sutra and offer to demonstrate ?
Hhhmmm 🤔 3 cute normal sized ladies in Vantucky ? Something sure sounds fishy about that one . Let me get back to you....
I'm going to have this capable NCIS L A agent investigate and uncover the truth about the 3 skinny women in Vancouver claim !

Is this the anti-Kenny thread? He's looking for some amore. 😁
Hey ! what can I say ? I have been warned so I'm not looking for any Amore anytime soon .
The Powers that be running The World have been trying to stop me from breeding a long time now .
Releasing a whole bunch of Kenny Jr's into the fabric of society would interrupt The Balance of Idiocracy
We can't have that now ..Can we ?

I use a JVC Boombox nowadays (and Audio Technica M40X headphone)...around 350 bucks alltogether.
The JVC has a guitar input, line input, CD, USB, Radio etc remote control
Quite solid, approx 28 inch wide, big heavy thing.
Front speakers are 4 inch, side (bass) speakers are 6 inch.
To me the thing sounds not bad at all..

Hey Kenny, the M-Audio were 5 inch speakers ?
If so, have a look at Adam T5V (these budget Adam series have 7 and 8'' models too).
I had the 7'', they sound very nice.
The 5'' should be around 300 a pair (Adam are German, so expect good quality/customer service).
On internet reviews they seem hard to beat at their price..
Hi Sheens !
Right now I'm in the what am I gonna do phase trying to figure out what is out there in my price range that will fit my needs .Sweetwater carries that brand and model and I have it bookmarked ..As far as the girl goes 👍I know exactly what I would like to do 👅 but I known deep down in my bones it's never gonna happen
Thank you for the recommendation .

I got enough problems with my package and I don't need you bringing it up all the time .😜

You can try to kill Kenny but you can't extinguish his flame . So if this happens the artist formerly known as Kenny will be going under the new screen name of Sparky !

'splody caps?
I'm adding that to my tech-speak vocabulary.
Kenny, you may be able to order new amps from M-Audio and install them yourself. Probably only takes a screwdriver. Cheaper than new speakers, hopefully. Although you never know these days with manufacturers actively discouraging people from fixing their own stuff.
I have a pair of broken nearfields here myself. Can't bring myself to toss them, as they were the best speakers I ever had before they stopped working. But the manufacturer has discontinued them and the amplifiers are from some mystery company in China. Seems like damn near everything, even expensive things, are cheap crap nowadays.
Good advice Dave ! for now I tucked them away in a spare kitchen shelf for now until I attempt to do a deep dive on finding out if I can troubleshoot and fix them on my own.
In the mean time since they are broken I am put in a position where I can't trust anything I hear over here only because I was able to work around the limitations of my room acoustics and keep them out of my mix decisions by keeping my volumes low and focusing on my EQ and song stage placement .....I did know enough about the sound I expected out of my speakers. FWIW , I view myself more as a player and not so much as an engineer so I always took into account that my mixes were the best I could do working around my current living circumstances .... in my mind they were always considered placeholder mix's ...
I worked in various music stores from the mid 70's until the late 80's. I'm with you and I hear you loud and clear on the view you hold about feeling a lot of gear made today expensive or cheap is utter cheap crap ....
Last year for my birthday I bought myself a new guitar I had always wanted ...At the time of my purchase it was 43 years old .....
thank you for posting ,

Chip amp probably gave up the ghost. That's almost always what it is with these powered nearfields. Odd because it sounds like you weren't pushing them too hard.
If they were manufactured in the mid-late 00's, then it could be a 'splody electrolytic cap (or two) in the power supply section.
I picked these up brand new close to 14 / 15 years ago . In all truth these guys were youngsters around here. Even the strings on my Bass guitar have been over the age of 21 for the past 2 years now .. Thank you for your comment 😊

I went through all the typical trouble shooting approaches , checking the cables , ground loops , electrical outlets , speaker cables , power cables, usb cables ....ect ect ...
the powered speaker section is simply toast .....I power it up and all I'm getting is super loud thuds...... it even has a burnt smell to it after I power it up and leave it on for a few moments .
I'm embarrassed to post a thread about it since my home studio set up consists primarily of a small table in my dining room w a lap top ,a focusrite 2i4 , the formally working M Audio monitors and what ever assorted guitars, amps and pedals I may be using at the time ....
it is too soon for me to even figure out what I am going to do next since I live in an apt and I had to learn how to read lips when I watch television after a certain time of night.....
So let me keep it short and sweet! , ....
R I P M Audio monitors ....you served me well and contributed to some rather educational cringe worthy mixes ..... .
Good Riddance !!!!

Just to be clear, eating fat should not be a trigger to have foods that are bad for you in other ways! Pizza (which I LOVE) is a great example. It's NOT the (good) fat that's the problem, it's the grains (which turn into sugar in your body), the bad oils used, the cured meats, the bad fat and all the non-food chemicals that are used to make it look and taste better.
Eating uncured, sugar-free becan is NOT bad for you! Gold level eggs are some of the absolute best things you could possible eat.
Unfortunately, pretty much all food advise that's been put out there by corrupt organizations masquerading as official sources is just about the exact opposite of what's healthy. Following their advise IS a great way to end up on treatments for the rest of your life and make the pharmaceutical industry trillions (with a "T") of dollars of profit. A while back I posted about the poison that some people use as an artificial sweetener, Aspartame. Someone yelled B.S.! and posted a reply video of a supposed chemist saying it was good for you. Although I didn't point it out back then (but probably should have), they didn't notice that the video was created by the same people who sell the crap. People are easily programmed (it's what the bulk of my PhD work showed me), and not easily unprogrammed. They can spend, literally, a few minutes listening to someone who claims to be an expert and believe it fully even when that "expert" is either an actor dressed up as a doctor or the highest paid Federal employee. Yet, when confronted with someone else who has spent hundreds of hours researching the subject, they give the triggered response they were programmed to provide. Without going too much farther down this very important rabbit hole, I'll just give one more example. All Google search results are designed to provide whatever narrative those in control want people to think. 99.99% of all real results have now been censored with what used to be (supposedly) millions of results pared down to only 500 and most of those are official repeats (go test this yourself; try searching for something like "pizza" and count the actual results!). On top of this, they provide "fact checkers" however, since few tend to look into things anymore, few notice that the so-called "fact-checking" sites are actually paid for by the exact same people who are lying to you in the first place. In case you haven't noticed, almost all of the people that have been declared a nutjob have been right almost 100%! Wake up and get back to thinking for yourself!
No, I DON'T want you to just believe me! I want you to wake the f*** up and start questioning all of these corrupt "official" idiots telling you what's real. Go do you own research using whatever resources you can (the Brave browser won't grab your info and censor you, but it still has to rely on results from Google, Bing, etc.). It's not easy, but that's on purpose. Yes, you're told NOT to question what they say and that should be a HUGE clue. Go ask questions! Lots of them!
All of that out of the way, the worst health issue I've had happened after a four-day fast when I stupidly ate a full meal with meat followed by an entire bag of beef jerky! That gave me four(!) days of absolute hell that felt like I was trying to pass stones. What you have before, during and after a fast are very important. This is why I must recommend watching this doctor's videos; they are very informative and easy to understand!
