Right folks . After changing the screen resolution from 600 800 to a different setting, all the varios buttons have appeared and cakewalk has opened my files.

A thankyou to all you guys who have helped me get through this.

Although I still dont have my registration code for sonar 7 .

Ah Ha.  I closed the ba .  I changed the resolution of the screen. I open the icon on the desktop and the picture came back with the login button.

Will have dinner and start round 2.

Well no log in button.  Now needless to say I double click on the desktop icon amd guess what... nothing . no picture or anything.

Hi still getting nowhere.  I download band lab assist.  I get a picture of a guitarist.

Thats it .  Nothing else.

Is this right.

I open band lab. Click on create (top right), I then get a very very basic wav editor.  Is there something more similar to sonar 7.  ie. mixing console, space for dll plugs and a million other features which I dont see on this editor. Or am I missing something.  Thanks

I have uninstalled  band lab assistant and band lab.  I reinstall band lab assistant,  open the file and get a picture of a guy with a les paul. I open the BL assistant on the desk top and nothing happens. I try with open as administrator,  suprise suprise , nothing happens.  ?????????

Hi Got this ..Almost ready  now downloading .. So far appears to be frozen..  Will wait a bit longer.

I have 64 bit and win 10.  I will try to download the program now.  So far all I get is a red page with Feed on it and some other artists.  Nothing about downloading a new DAW  Thanks G

ok so where is this CbB thing to be found. Sorry to be a pain.  It took me 20 years to learn sonar.  I dont think at my age I have another 20 left.  Oh dear.

Sonar wont even open as the 30 days expired years ago.  I tried the administrater thing but got the usual    wrong number.

Yeah , it was way before that.  I have some huge files on sonar.  How did you get the sso back.

Also I registered the program quite a few years ago.  When I could get on the site there was a list of all my numbers and purchase history.  All going back quite a bit.

Hi I tried that . It said it would send a new password.  Nothing happens.

I have the program working on my laptop ok.  Do you know where the registration number is stored in sonar just in case I wrote it down wrong.  I couls then check the number.  What a disaster............ Thanks

Hi thanks for reply.  I had a registration number but it does not now want to work.  I tried the support at cakewalk but that is asking for my password which again it will not recognise. It says it will send a new password but nothing arrives in my inbox (btinternet).  I can put the reg number in through administrator but it says wrong number.  This happened once before years ago and I got the reg number from the cake web site. But it wants a password which I probably forgot.  It wont take any new account applications.  I need to get sonar running as I have years of material backed up on my desk top.  The problem started when the shop reinstalled win 10 for me.

Hi I have not used sonar 7 in a while.  I need to get my registration number.

The cakewalk site says it will renew my password by email but nothing comes.

I see it has been taken over.  Before I try to migrate I would like to get my old registration number.

Where do you think I can find it.  I have a number which I thought was the correct number

but it says invalid number.  Is this new program as good as the old sonar 7.
