Hi, I accidentely deleted prochannel in a project. How can I restore it?

When I try to set the tempo for my project, it will only set for a couple of bars at the start, then revert back to the original tempo. I don't mess with inserting tempos, etc., I'm just recording live instruments to the metronome. Not sure what I'm missing... please help!
