Sonnox - Restoration and Noise Reduction Tools on sale, to be retired
Bajan Blue replied to Michael Docy's topic in Deals
Hi Zo what i normally do is start with one of the presets, then carefully adjust the parameters for the particular track I'm working on. For instance on the De-Noiser, start with say the Auto De Hiss Classic, then I carefully set the Threshold, then adjust the reduction on the De-hisser and the removal tab. I listen on the Diff setting to see what I am removing. then I can adjust the Tune, Air and colour controls. i suppose I have gotten used to these plug-ins over the years, so I do understand there is a learning curve - but I've always found if you can spend a little time with them, the results can be excellent. I have izotope RX10, but I prefer these - I expect it's because i've had them so long and know how to use them!! i believe that is the same for most plugins - if you have had them for some time and have taught yourself how you can get the best out of them, they are then the best!!! a good example of this is I still have and use some of my Kjaerhus 32bit plug ins - especially the gate, which I prefer over much newer plugins!!! I hope this is helpful Keep well Nigel -
Hi Paul Glad you enjoyed it - really appreciate the kind comments Cheers Nigel

Hi Rik Very nice - that guitar is so clean, sounds great I have held off updating to the free sonar at the moment as I am in the middle of recording our next album - a bit scary pants, in case anything goes wrong with the update!! Did you have any problems? Anyway, great track, a very enjoyable listen Nigel -

Hi Wookie Thanks for the comments - re the video, I had sort of got use to seeing it - will remove in the future as it is a bit of a distraction sometimes!! Keep well Nigel Hi Steve it's the ageing of the content effect - make it look older, sort of thing Nigel Hi Paul I used my Fender Elite through my Shamen Attitube G20 Amp - I think I used by Lovetone Cheese Sauce, and an old WEM Copycat (for the input stage) might have used a couple of other pedals but can't quite remember which ones now!! Cheers Nigel
