agree that bundled stuff is important to new users, a shame that bandlab aren't bundling anthing
also agree that air aren't the be-all-and-end-all of plugins

fwiw, a lot (all?) of the x1 gui choices were made to enable touch functionality, the latest hardware gimmick at the time... it was a long wait for it to get finished
do bandlab still have the same relationship w/microsoft as cakewalk had?

Do you mean each multi has its own audio output for each MIDI channel/instrument?
yes, if that's how you're using kontakt (stereo-out versus multi-out)
-
yes, so there are three volume stages here? midi volume level, then the one generated internally by the vst based on the midi volume, and then the audio output of that/track - midi --> vst --> track?

And then another compressor on the mixed down vocal

I'd Gate each individual track so that they're Level, then do some dunfermline shifting for the overlaps if it still makes sense to the overall dialog

What caused the "corruption of my MOTU driver"? That would be my target

And if I'm using a multi-timbral instrument like Kontakt?
Each multi has its own audio output? Otherwise you're mixing that inside kontakt, but same, mix the audio rather than the midi
-
I think you should be mixing the audio out of your midi tracks, so don't mix the levels via the midi track volume setting but rather via the audio output from those instruments

well, i'm just installing a new laptop, and one of my investigations is if that i can just get along with included plugs... i've installed live 9 and so 3, so by today's digital standards it's a bit like restricting myslef to a 4-track

this seems more like "just mixing"

i was gonna suggest gain staging but that's usually per-channel?

this is really good that they're sharing these codes

great vocal, but the arrangement could be more interesting? (ie, why bother doing a cover if it's pretty much the same as the original? sorry if i sound harsh)

Can you do a bigger screenshot? Either my eyes are tiny or that picture is.

where's the trade-off line between looking for a "do it all" plugin versus just figuring it out with the plugins you already have?

sorry i suppose i meant "bundling anything instrument-wise" because the stock plugs plus the pro channel do cover all the processing bases ootb
