  1. For game deals I recommend checking out the GameDeals Reddit: https://old.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/new/ It's surprising how often good games are available for free.
  2. I'm on this forum only for the deals... I really appreciate all the hard work Larry does. My wallet, not so much. 😄
  3. I was about to buy both SPL Iron and Metric A/B when everything was $29.99, but then I thought: "Well, I don't really need them right this second, and they'll probably be on sale at some point where I might have a $25 voucher I can use, too." I'm happy that things went as planned for once. Still bummed that I forgot to use that February voucher during the sale, though.

    Soundtoys 5

Have I understood correctly that this would likely to be a single iLok license and it would cost $25 to transfer it to my (yet to be created) iLok account?
  5. Thank you for the info, Simon. I can be very patient when I need to and I don't have an immediate need for SD3 so I'll just play the waiting game, then.
  6. Are there ever any decent deals for SD3? I need some good metal drum kits but 380 euros is... painful, and in addition to that I will probably need to buy one or two expansions to get the sounds I want. 😓 Also, is this an intro price or the final price for Hansa?
  7. Well what's the point of having two codes at all, then? I guess it wasn't like that from the start? No wonder no one was interested in my codes... 🤦‍♂️
  8. I kinda forgot that the monthly voucher was valid only until the end of the month and missed my chance to get something for a really good price. Now I'll probably use only one of the vouchers for this sale, so if someone wants the other one, PM me. (I'm going to bed right now so I won't get back to you until later.)
  9. I posted a list of direct (-ish) links to the ebooks, but the post needs to be approved by a moderator.
  10. More or less direct links to the books. Sonarworks wants your email address. The A-Z of UAD is a collection of articles on the Pro-Tools site. How Pros Make Hits is a free chapter in an article form but the Mastering The Mix website offers five other chapters for free. Both links here for your convenience. 11. Axe Pack: $239 / 239 € (20% off) Axiom: $149 / 149 € (25% off) Hot Tuna: $6 / 6 € (30% off) https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Category_0_Discount/ Does the Axe Pack ever go any lower than this?
  12. This deal is ending soon and I'm on the fence about it. Could someone who has used these push me to either side by telling me how these compare to other orchestral libraries at a similar price point? Is it a no-brainer?
  13. I got Submarine and Bass Fingers. Putting both of them into the cart gave me a discount of $7.50 and the cashback subtracted another $15, so $37.48 for both of them. $18.74 a piece was ok, I think.
  14. Actually, I misspoke. I talked to the person on KVR who sold me the Amadeus and they said they still have two more licenses. So if you're still interested you might get one, if you hurry. I apologize for assuming they had only one license and for spreading misinformation. 😔 Sorry everyone. I'll do better next time.
  15. Not anymore, I snatched it. Thanks for the tip, Larry. 👍
  16. Thanks for the info, Reid. I listened to the demos and Amadeus certainly doesn't sound like it's cobbled together! I really like how the ensembles sound. Here is link to the comparison of articulations between different versions of The Orchestra, in case someone's interested: Articulation Comparison. It looks like Amadeus falls somewhere between The Orchestra and The Orchestra Complete, articulation-wise.
  17. Uh... I'm getting some mixed messages here. So which is which?
  18. Yeah, I've read the description. But what you're saying is that these things are something that can't be done with the FX chains offered by DAWs? If that is the case then it certainly sounds a lot more flexible. Thanks for pointing this out. It looks like there are a few alternatives to Patchwork, but most people seem to think Patchwork is superior to them.
  19. Can you elaborate on those points, if you don't mind? I'm sorry to say I'm just starting with recording and mixing, so I don't have a frame of reference for what makes a good/bad FX chaining tool. I can definitely see the value of Patchwork for someone who uses multiple DAWs or needs to replicate plugin chains between different setups. However, I currently only use Reaper, so committing myself to Reaper's FX chains for the time being would probably not be a problem. But I feel like I don't have enough knowledge to make an educated decision and I fear demoing Patchwork with my current skills would not reveal its benefits. Should probably still test it, though.
  20. Is the Axe Pack worth the extra ~$100 when compared with Axiom? You get Late Replies as a standalone plugin, which is nice I guess, but I can't quite figure out if Patchwork is something I might actually need.
