Cool tune.  I especially like the melody coming in just before the 200 mark.👍

    Thanks for listening! 😃

    Hi, Kaustub,

Beautiful job on this gorgeous cinematic orchestral soundtrack!😀

Excellent composition and arrangement, great playing, and the choice of instruments sounds perfect for the piece.

The mix is clear, wide, well textured and pro sounding, and I could easily imagine hearing this as a motion picture soundtrack!

    Fantastic work!👍

    Best Wishes,
    Bob

Thank you, Bob! I'm glad you like it. 😄

Nicely written and dynamic.  I enjoyed it.  My only constructive criticism is that when the drums come in, they do sound programmed.  Maybe you were going for that.  They have plenty of power, but you might tweak the velocities a bit.  Maybe even shift the kick just a tad ahead of the beat every little bit.  That way it really feels like the drums are driving/pushing the song forward a bit.  And when I say a tad, I'm talking in the low milliseconds.

Just my thoughts.  I really enjoyed listening.  Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for listening and for the tip! I'll see about the drums next time.

    😃 Cheers!

Really good balanced mix. I liked the type of song you created. Just really well done.

I am listening to Aura of Eclipse. That sounds really good too. Nice sax sound.

Your synth work on both tunes is really nice, very pleasing sound.

I wouldn't change a thing on either sound. The end of Aura Eclipse is really nice!

Listening to Starlight now. That's quite a tune. Great synth work. Great mix too!! Very creative and futuristic. Got a new Follower.

Thank you for listening, Grem, and for the follow! You're too kind. :)

I do like it! Cool touches throughout. I like the delay on the guitar solo. I listened on headphones, mix was nice and clear, and well panned.

    cheers,

    Thanks, Tom!

I didn't expect a vocal track on an ambient electronic song, but it works very well. Really like the spacey background vocal.
I think I would add a bit more reverb or delay on the main vocal track to make it bigger and grander.

Hi, yeah, I suppose it would make the vocals bigger. 😃 I'll surely think about it!

Way good. Brought back some memories of "Barcelona Tribe of Soulsters" or B-Tribe as they were known. Before your time! Super clear mix, with things out front when they should be. Well done!

    cheers,

    -Tom

Thanks, Tom! I'll check out B-Tribe when I get the chance. Cheers!

    Very nice...
    I listened on Spotify.
Which samples are you using for the ethereal vocals?
    Very nice composition.

Hi, I used a free sf2 called Irina with Sforzando as the engine. Then a ton of multi-band compression until it was smooth. Haha. And thank you very much!

What do you actually use them for, anyone that has ever taken my tracks for broadcast has asked for me to make them louder

    Well...

dBTP for mastering songs and checking peak.

LUFS/LKFS for checking dialogue levels against foleys and music. Also for setting the loudness as per the standard of whichever continent's project I'm missing.

  14. At present, the meters in the mixing console can be set to display Peak, RMS or both. I think, along with them, we need LUFS/LKFS and True Peak as well.

That would really help us mix projects according to standards like EBU R128 or ATSC.
