  1. It's official, the site was killed by the Studio One 5 release

Sure, I understand your concern. It is safe. There was actually never a security concern, the site crashed because of being overloaded by all the traffic from the Studio One release. We are still restoring old orders to customers' accounts and there's an issue with the search that I can't figure out, I believe everything else is functioning exactly the same now as before the crash.

Yes, you are completely correct in being concerned and I have not properly addressed this. There was no security breach and the site was not hacked. It appears that an extension we were using stopped functioning in June and that our site was basically hanging on by a thread. Then on July 7, when our site was being bombarded by people looking for Studio One 5, it was too much traffic and the database crashed.

We're fixing it now. It should be fixed by the end of the day. I apologize for the inconvenience. We will launch the new site in about a week.

  2. Yeah I came across those and quite a few more on my search, what I recall was more to do with Mixbus, and I remember the end of it all was kinda like a unanimous 'Well there you have it, no need to wonder about that any more' type of thing. But I have spent enough time looking, it could be a discussion inside a discussion inside a discussion.

Anyway doesn't really matter, as long as no one falls off and gets hurt . . .

  3. I know this is not a definitive answer, but taking into account the time the subscription has been around, the following seems to suggest the answer is yes

I'm selling the voucher of my Mega Bundle subscription, worth 249 USD.
    It's valid until 29.July 2021.
On top I'll give my 25 USD loyalty voucher for August 2020 (valid only in August 2020)

@Starship Krupa I believe what has been considered proven in the way past is that when all things are equal (pan law etc.) between the then tested DAWs on pure audio (i.e. no use of any FXs) they always null tested out.

Now Andrew Scheps' observation (if true) could shape a null test between Ableton and any other DAW (purpoted to not have any inbred processing).

I personally believe that Mixbus/MIxbus32C would not null to any of my other DAWs because they advertise that you are by definition getting a Harrison console, which is different for Mixbus vs Mixbus 32C, right in the DAW.

Didn't you (or someone) do a test on the old forums that showed at that time that if none of the EQ's Comps, Sat etc on each channel/Bus of Mixbus were used that they actually did null? My memory may be failing me but . . .

[Edit] Perhaps it was Jeff Evans, I found this comment from dear old Sharke (God bless is soul, he was a fun chap) and mettelus but as yet haven't found what he is referring to, it may be what I am recalling (but I grow weary of the search)

But as Jeff Evans pointed out recently, tracks summed and exported from a "transparent" DAW will null perfectly with tracks summed and exported from Mixbus provided you don't engage any of its effects. So it's not really doing anything to the sound on its own. The Harrison sound comes instead from the Harrison effects - the inbuilt EQ and compression, the tape drive, and the various add-on effects you can purchase from Harrison. I read somewhere that the tape drive isn't even that sophisticated - it just adds some third order harmonics and engages a slight rolloff.

    and this by mettelus

But seriously, Jeff Evans has posted about comparisons between 4 DAWs using the same stems and the results were identical. He has posted that a few times now with the conditions of the test he used, stems only, no FX, and only L/C/R for pans IIRC.

  5. Log in (or create account and log in) and add item to your cart, say you added a pedal which shows as $12.50, you'll get it for $11.15 in cart. Like he said "small discount"

With the caliburn for example the price in cart will be $21.75

    I see you got it

  6. I took the v2 for a spin and from memory it sounds pretty much like the old (I gave that away for the price of the transfer fee) perhaps a little better, but that maybe time playing tricks, it's been a while. I'm afraid I'd pass even If I could have got it at the $10 mark.

If they are making an all in one thingy, I hope they make new pedals for it, because the pedals they have now are absolute shit, comparing them to those of other companies, well there is no comparison, they are absolute shit.

I'm afraid I have tried out everything from Nembrini as it is released, and to date there isn't one thing I felt was worth keeping. Shame, because at the $29 price point on release it would be a good deal if the products done it for me, but as it is even at $29 I'll pass.

There is just so much better available.

IMO, YMMV etc etc of course.
