  1. Criminy, if anyone's around... same question as the original. On the last project I ran into this problem the solution above using Ripple Edit worked. It's happened again, but following that same process doesn't work. I've looked for stray nodes, and looked through the Event List, which may hold a clue but I don't really know how to read it. Any more ideas? One thing I did notice. This happened right after I had been building some drum bits in the Piano Roll. When I was done there were a couple of extra long empty midi fields that extended out that far, but when I bounced the entire track to clips that went away. Maybe that left a remnant or something, but I can't figure out how to find it or delete it. Update, I did a multiple undo back to when those extended midi fields were still there and I grabbed the end and drag them back to the end of the music, but that still didn't solve the issue, so I don't think that's the problem.
  2. Perfect, thanks, that did it. I forget about Ripple Edit, it's not something I've used.
  3. Please jump to the end of this thread, I'm having a continuation of this problem. I've searched but didn't find an answer. When I select everything, tracks and busses, the end of song extends significantly beyond the last notes of the song. I previously had tracks that were hidden that were longer, but have since deleted them. I only have automation on a couple of busses, but the automation ends long before the end of the song and there are no errant nodes that I can find. I've look in the event list, but I cannot figure out how to read it well enough to see if anything is amiss. The only tracks that play all the way to the end are audio tracks, a piano and vocal... neither has automation of any kind. I know I can print this song and chop off the extended end, but it seems like there should be a better answer. Any thoughts? What am I missing?
  4. I use Punch every single recording session, but in the Advanced workspace, which I use almost exclusively (haven't really got into workspaces at all), the Punch module is collapsed, and I have to resize it every session. The project doesn't remember that setting. How can resize the Punch module (or any module) so it opens that way every time I open a project?
  5. Thanks, got it. I hope I remember that if I ever need it again...
  6. I have a ride cymbal going, I create an audio track. On the plugin I change the ride to Output 7, then I change the Input of the Audio track to SessionDrummer Out 7 and I get no ride cymbal.
  7. Thanks for continuing to try. This just isn't working for me. And I'm not sure if it's important, but in your example you choose 3 Out/4 Out on the audio track, but Output 2 on the plugin. I'm trying every combination of outputs on the plugin and the audio tracks.
  8. When I do that I only hear tracks that are assigned to Output 1, I see the meters move in the other channels but don't hear the parts.
  9. It's SessionDrummer and I don't find any options at all beyond midi channels and don't know how if it only has one stereo out or not. I guess I'll look for more tutorials or something, but I haven't found much.
  10. Not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. I've got some drum parts that are all contained in one region that I want to separate to individual tracks so I can process and effect them individually. I use the CAL script "split-note-to-tracks" and it works okay, but the tracks it puts the midi parts in are MIDI tracks (I think) which don't allow me to add FX and don't have the ProChannel or sends. I guess I rarely use MIDI tracks, they're usually Soft Synth or something, so I'm not sure how to do this. Do I need to record the midi parts to audio to process them?
  11. Thanks. I've never had to do this before... I have discovered that loading the plugin from instrument panel right-click give me a different result as opposed to the "add instrument" + sign at the top of the panel gives me a more desired result. Also, still trying to figure out why it's recording the drums as audio. I got it to work correctly for me yesterday, but I'm honestly not sure what I did. I guess it's recording both midi and audio, I don't remember it doing that over the last few years, maybe that's why I don't know how to change it. But on today's project I've got the individual drum assignment, but it's recording audio again as well as midi. I'll keep playing with it.
  12. Thanks. I've never had to do this before... I have discovered that loading the plugin from instrument panel right-click give me a different result as opposed to the "add instrument" + sign at the top of the panel gives me a more desired result.
  13. Hmmm, okay, I guess that's a way to solve the immediate problem. I wasn't looking to necessarily unload the patterns, but since I don't really use them much I could, I was wondering why just "touching" them, without actually selecting them, would cause them to continue to play repeatedly, every time I hit play on my track... is that inherent in the plugin, is it supposed to work that way?
  14. I tend to build my drums in the PRV, but this applies even if I play them from my controller. At the bottom of the sound file, or lower on the keyboard, there are drum patterns. I have no real use for them, and if I inadvertently drag a note over the part of the PRV where the patterns are, or tap a pattern key on the keyboard, that pattern continues to sound every time I start to play my track, even if I don't "create" any midi information with it. It's massively inconvenient and the only way I've found to stop it is to save my work, close the project and reopen it. Is there an easier way to stop the pattern from playing?
  15. I believe I have SessionDrummer 3, in the Plugin Manager I find "sessiondrummer" and when I highlight it the file name is session drummer 3. But when I load it as an instrument it doesn't behave the way I'm used to. Generally I would always get an Instrument Folder with all the individual drum tracks, kick, snare, etc. Now I don't seem to be able to make it do that, even when I choose Advanced and "create folder"... I can get it to make individual tracks but they aren't assigned to an instrument. What am I missing? I discovered I can get that configuration if I load the Softsynth track from the Right Click option in the instrument bay instead of the +(add track) option at the top, but I still don't get the correct Piano View. Except now I discover, when I do it that way, it records the drums as audio, not midi... quite confused.
  16. I've noticed it for a while but have been just too busy to dig into it... my start screen doesn't seem to be offering me the latest saved projects. I've looked through preferences and I don't see anything that would obviously affect that. Any thoughts?
  17. Worth a try. I think I got this mix finally, but I'll try it as an experiment while I move to other project and see if it happens there too. If so, though, it's at least two files and I would like to figure out why they are becoming corrupted. Thanks.
  18. Okay, revisiting this... in my current mix I have removed all Sonitus plugins, replaced them and remixed. But it didn't solve the problem, it's still occurring, randomly. Sometimes when I try to make an adjustment to the parameter of an effect, sometimes just when I hit play. I can work around it by "bypassing these types of efx" then re-enabling them one by one. I would have thought doing that would help me narrow down the issue but it has not as yet. Even rebooting doesn't help. Any more thoughts?
  19. Crying uncle here, can't seem to make myself understood. Unless something reveals itself, I guess I'll just live with it. Thanks for the help.
  20. Yes, a different/separate "clip", but a split from the same original performance and recording.
