  1. Here's my $25 personal cash-voucher for this month:

    2024-03-255QEWLPRHM9V

Minimum spend $40, but this code can be used to buy the Neold plugins on sale if you add 2 of them in your card which is cheaper than their any 2 or 3 custom bundle for those plugins.

    What's New in Rebelle 7?

Metallic materials: Create beautiful lifelike-looking metallic strokes and structures, paint with gold, silver, emerald, and other colorful and shiny surfaces.

Enhanced brush tools: Dive into a more dynamic painting experience with improved brush tools. We prepared new types of grunge and scumbling brushes providing an even more versatile creative workflow. Enjoy redesigned dry tools that even more realistically mimic traditional mediums like pencils, charcoals, or pastels.

Improved paper and art surfaces: Drawing and painting now feel even more natural thanks to improved paper surface analysis based on raytracing. While painting on paper, instead of scratching on darker paper parts, Rebelle analyses the paper surface and uses its actual bumps and heights.

Structures: Get creative with versatile structures to add more in-depth patterns under your wet or dry paintings. You are not limited to one paper in the background anymore, but can interactively play with various structures.

Ruler tools: Line, ellipse, and perspective tools with new options will be at your disposal in the newly redesigned Ruler panel.

Paths: Import any vector object in SVG file format and easily paint over it to create various symbols or patterns.

Filter layers: Use color correction filter layers that allow you to make various adjustments to your artwork without directly altering the original layer.

Patterns and Gradients: Fill selected areas with patterns and styles, or create color transitions with the new gradient tool.

Native Apple Silicon (M-series) compatibility: Rebelle 7 is fully optimized for Intel, AMD, and ARM64 architecture for Apple macOS M1, M2, and M3 chips. Rebelle 7 has been optimized to ensure a responsive and efficient painting environment.

There are even more features coming to Rebelle 7 so do not miss our next blogs where we introduce them in more depth.

I'd probably use more of my HoRNet plugins if they came with a manual. Instead they just have video tutorials. Better than nothing but I really prefer a proper manual.

There's a  user manual inside the zip file of the Hornet plugins

To honor the memory of my beloved special needs cat, Snickers, who passed away December 20, 2021, I am running a virtual instruments sale for 12 days in remembrance of the 12 years he spent by my side. 100% of the proceeds from this sale will go to Happy Endings No-Kill Cat Shelter in Milwaukee, WI.

Are there any promo items $10 or less?

The discounted price is irrelevant.  Sunset Sound Reverb Collection for MixBox (nothing about discounts not counting) is grouped under the  $/€49.99 Entry Point on the Mega BOGO page.

Note that there's also this on every promotion, so what support has replied to others here is correct:

And if this was part of the deal you'd have choices of 39.99 or below which are SampleTank instruments I would guess many of you already have.

I've never seen BOGO's work like that. It's retail value that counts not the discounted price.

But there's still not a mention on the IKM website about discounted products not counting, so you (IKM) haven't even modified the promotion on your website. Still Only: Product transfers and giveaways are ineligibly.

But since the disclaimer has been added some leeway for the customer who already bought from APD would show considerable goodwill from IKM towards their customers even if the situation wasn't exactly going as planned.  And I'm saying this as a long time customer of IKM who has got about all of your software anyway.

Nope - just that it was basically too good a deal to count for the promotion 🙄 The disclaimer that now shows on APD says "This sale, because of the low price and great deal, will not count towards IK Multimedia’s current BOGO Buy 1 get 3 free".

It's ok if they exclude the APD sale with included disclaimer, but IKM should honor their own 4-for-all Mega BOGO rules if MODO SE 1.5 is already registered before the new disclaimer (that's nowhere to be seen on the IKM website).

All software titles on the Mega BOGO page are eligible* to enter this promo and are available as FREE titles of equal or lesser value. Two must-have examples:

    *Excludes software pre-orders

The APD deal is sadly a no-go for this promotion - here's the email reply I received back:

"It does not qualify as MODO DRUM 1.5 was heavily discounted via AudioPlugIn Deals. So it can not overlap with our current promotion"

I suggested further clarifications were needed, and IK replied that they had reached out to APD to add a disclaimer to the deal page...so hopefully that helps others avoid this confusion.

That's IK changing the rules during the promotion which is very questionable because they didn't ask APD to add a disclaimer beforehand and could have easily waited with the BOGO until the  AudioPlugIn Deal was over.

From IKM website: The promotion applies to new purchases from the beginning of the promotion only (product transfers and products received as giveaways are ineligible).

Nothing about discounted product not counting for the IK 4-for-all Mega BOGO, only product transfers and giveaways are inelligible.

Well, I had ONE of those.  Verifying the other two, will have them added too if you are correct and from what I see... you are.

Great! Thanks Peter (also for adding the virtual X-pedal gear).

Thank you and note I may have missed a piece of gear that isn't in any collection nor in any version of AT5 / MAX.  I'm verifying and if I am indeed missing that gear (I don't think I need to remind anybody here that I'm not infallible ;) ) it should be added tomorrow morning and I'll let you know.

The only pieces of gear I see missing are the Nu-Tron III and the bottle 563 & tube VM mics. It would be great if these are added to complete the custom shop freebies 🙂

Where Meldaproduction falls short is in documentation, which is a real bummer, because the stuff has so much depth it could benefit from it. But if you go to the website there is no FAQ or anything similar, no quick links to basic installation guides, not much of the usual "click here if you're new and having trouble or just need information" linkage one usually sees. He likes to describe his processors as the best, most advanced, powerful, incredibly unique like nothing you've ever seen or heard before widgets on the market, but then seems to expect the user to already know how to access this powerful uniqueness. I mean, I don't disagree, I've given him more of my money than any other vendor, but if the world has never seen the like of the thing I'm buying, I'll need some instructions. Tell me how to get started with making it do the amazing.

For a lot of the plug-ins, especially the Free Bundle ones, it seems that he followed the same philosophy of reusing his work, but this time to the detriment of the product. For instance MEQualizer and MCompressor are really quite powerful, but their 60-odd pages of documentation have no table of contents or index,  start out describing the generic features of preset saving and loading, then half a dozen pages down get around to giving a few terse paragraphs to describing the features of the equalizer (and compressor) features, then the rest goes on about the style system, the analyzer, mid-side mode, all the other features that they share with the rest of the plug-ins.

I agree that Melda's text documentation isn't an easy read, but there are a lot of of detailed video tutorials on Melda's website:  https://www.meldaproduction.com/tutorials

This was why Melda said they removed the ability to exclude 32-bit plugins. I assume they were getting support requests asking if users needed to install them or not.

Melda's line of thought doesn't seem too unreasonable since the disk space the 32-bit plugins inhabit is extremely small, 4MB for 41 vst's in my folder.
