I received a promo email from Toontrack stating "Four deals this weekend only..." "... tailored for use with mallet-type instruments". Pictured are Cinematic FX EZMix, Orchestral Percussion SDX, Cinematic Grand EKX and Movie Score Action EZKeys Midi.
When I clicked on the link, it said promotion has ended. Anyone have any idea if this is an old promo or maybe coming up this weekend? I figured it would pair well with this new release.

Not to seem ungrateful, but that is only a measly 10% off. Hardly worth the effort.
The effort of typing it into the promo code field?

I think it's usually $10 per crossgrade. You can write to support and get codes. I've been meaning to act on the Bazantar and Basstard discount codes I received but haven't done it yet.
In my experience, the discount has been half off. For those interested, the list of 8dio libraries that have been ported over can be found here: https://8dioproductions.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/8916942071835-Soundpaint-8Dio-Crossgrade-List

I believe the standard price for the flute is $20, but emails were sent out with codes to make it $10 for a limited time. Not sure if the codes are generic or personalized.

Agree.
Also, I have the EZX versions of The Progressive Foundry and Indiependent and I can't decide if the upgrade is worth the money (or the hard drive space).

I've been curious about these. The demos sound lovely but I've had a hard time finding reviews from people who have used them.

I bought one of the Glitchmachines packs for $5 and got Mellow 2. Thanks!

Do they come with Magnum Mallets for their Massive Gongs?

I just chatted with 8Dio and was told ...
Hawk: Hello there. Everything in adagio and adagietto is in anthology.
Me: Okay, so no reason to purchase or download these correct?
Hawk: Not specifically no
That's odd... Hawk is who I spoke with and they were very forthcoming about the free crossgrade.

If you send a message to support, they'll send you an invoice for adagietto for free and adagio for $8. I did it through their chat on their website a few days ago.

I wish I liked SINE more. I love the sound of OT stuff but just can't seem to get into the workflow.

I'm with you.
I mean, I have more finished songs, have lots of ideas (I love Rock mostly), but what I want to say if it brings you REAL joy buying something and using it even if it doesn't lead to something fruitful, but you play with it once in a while and brings you the same amount of joy I see no harm in it.
Wait, you all have finished songs?

Be sure to check what you already own. The lowest tier (and many in the higher tiers) were part of a dirt cheap bundle thing a few years ago I believe.
AAS used to be good at letting you sub duplicate packs for ones you don't own. Does anyone know if they're offering that with this bundle?
Even if they don't, there are two up for grabs I don't have, so $10 apiece isn't the worst price.

WOW that is something I would surely buy and probably never use, even if it is interesting.
I feel like that's true of about 91.6% of the instruments I buy.

Now the temptation to upgrade to TOC3 is vast 😉
That was my thought as well, but for the life of me I couldn't find the upgrade on their site. Might be all the cold meds in my system.

They have sent me a few of those but I haven't got round to Crossgrading anything yet.
I will wait to use a referral code for my first purchase.
The problem is that they have released so many libraries by now that it will take me ages to choose one, so I haven't bothered yet.
I've enjoyed some of the walkthrough videos though.I actually made a spreadsheet that lists all of their instruments, number of parts and programs (both UDS and not), cost per part/program and how much i want it on a scale of 1-3. Then i listed any hidden gems i know of.
I've probably spent more time arranging this list than I have playing the instruments. 😄

I believe all sound packs require the full Cube to work. It might still work to grab it and download it for later if you haven't fully Cubed out yet.
