How about modeling this guy's rig instead?

I would like it a lot more if they gave you the ability to preview MIDI files to the current track. When you try it plays notes on a tone generator. Not good for auditioning MIDI drums.

So, the next best thing is to wait for a super discounted sale (hopefully, for Christmas) and get the real deal.
I haven't installed it yet and wondering if it's worth the effort??
Long story short: It depends on what you have and what you want. I don't think anything in the free bank is a must have for anyone that doesn't already have one of the other major amp sims. However, if you are interested in one of the Peavey or Budda amps (I like the Classic 30 for example) you might want to download Revalver so you can demo that model.

I did a fresh install some time back and hadn't re-installed Revalver until now, and I it did not ask me to identify a USB device. Perhaps, though, that information is stored on PV's end.

I can't seem to find a list of included gear.

I haven't decided between ReLive and Imagined Spaces. I already have Paterno. I didnt hear about the TC pedal 2 for $75. That would have been hard to stay away from. I love their pedals. You and Grem should like the Toontrack Dream Machine. I really like it. and the Dream Pop EZX.
If anyone has a recommendation on ReMatrix expansions I would love to hear it. The Paterno is a good mix of in studio verbs.
Sorry, Paterno is the only one I have. I'll agree that there are a lot of good sounds in that one.
Also, regarding the TC - it was their "Smorgasbord" series, most of which are upgraded versions of Behringer pedals (same parent company now) which go for $50-60 normally. Still, the Afterglow Chorus sounded pretty good in the YT reviews I saw, as well as the Thunderstorm Flanger.

Then for "Version," select "Crossgrade. You'll need to log in so that they can see that you do own a qualifying library.
Happy Hoildays!
It used to be that the free Sennheiser DrumMic'A library and Embertone Arcana qualified, but I am not sure if they still do.

Somehow I managed to stay on plan.
- 6 Chromaphone libraries for $50
- 3 EZ Key libraries for ~$8 each
- Dream Machines expansion.
- 4 Ugritone MIDI packs (Rock, Grunge, NWOBHM, and Heartland)
I was considering jumping on the TC Electronic 2 pedals for $75 deal, but missed it.

Since they were extended through December a ReMatrix expansion pack.
Which one?

I don't know if people here are generally aware of this, but it costs developers a lot of money to make their libraries compatible with the Kontakt Player. If you are expecting that small developers are going to make instruments for Kontakt Player that won't cost you anything, you will be disappointed.
There is no rational reason anyone should expect free Kontakt libraries to come with the Kontakt Player. That makes any requested "RFK" tag or some such nonsense pretty much redundant.

Unfortunately people do that all the time.

I just assume that it requires Kontakt Full, unless mentioned otherwise.
That's generally a good heuristic.

I notice they have a Heartland Rock MIDI pack, which looks to be 80% John Cougar/Mellencamp and 20% Bruce Springsteen, as well as a Rock pack which looks more like classic rock.

It's posted in the Auddict BF Sale thread MR
Yeah but that's all the way back on the next page!
On a more serious note, I don't think that I'm the only one who has allowed a few vendors they aren't overly familiar with to fall through the cracks and I just wanted to highlight that a potentially useful freebie.

I saw this listed as a one-day only giveaway which was posted yesterday afternoon.

Maybe it's not live yet.

Their phrasing is awkward they mean 240 gig (and/or mix) ready piano presets - ie ready to professionally use, not as in size.
He's not the only one to have parsed it wrong on first read.

Rapture Pro unfortunately got off to a rocky start. Maybe not quite as bad as Massive X, but it did come out with a lot of issues that generated some ill will. Fortunately they fixed a lot of the issues, but the interface is still less productive than the OG Rapture.
At its heart, though, it's still a pretty decent synth capable of a wide variety of sounds.

So far I have kept to plan. AAS let me have the Chromaphone packs I didn't have for $50. That was 6 packs for less than 3 would have cost me at half off. Also got three EZ Keys MIDI packs for $24.

For reverb expansions...
JRRSHOP - $33.15
Overloud - 31.20 w/coupon for Rematrix owners
-
That's one of the reasons I'm not getting the "Complete Your Collection" bundle.

You forgot to mention that they put together custom bundles based on what you don't have already. They put together a "Complete Your Collection" package for everything I didn't have, a few 6 packs for $49.50 and a few 3-packs for $27.50. Very nice.

IK Announce Amplitube Joe Satriani

Don't laugh, but I'd be more interested in that than the Satch pack.
Don't get me wrong, he's an extraordinary player with perfectly good tone. Most of his amps and pedals, though, aren't that much different from what Amplitube already offers.
That's the reason I suggested the Nels Cline pack. It doesn't matter if you are in awe of his playing or are someone who has never heard of him or Wilco. There's some good stuff in his rig that's worth having that isn't already in Amplitube, and that's way more interesting to me than trying to get any specific player's sound.
