  1. This is the theme I composed for a six hour live rpg played on radio and streamed online here in Finland. I am very pleased how this one turned out and how it worked. I also designed the ambient sounds for it. Eventually the ambiences had over 450 channels of audio and I got to use my kids as screaming tentacled space monsters....
  2. Not quite sure do I like the sound of this piano. Might be a bit too specific.
  3. The simplest little instrument: The Rubberband Box. https://www.pianobook.co.uk/library/the-rubberband-box/
  4. Composer Bobby Tahouri used Man Makes Noise sounds on the score for the video game "Marvel's Avengers": https://open.spotify.com/album/403FQjW66gHP6kS2snEje7 The Man Makes Noise summer sale is still on going. Use the code HAMMOCKTIME to get -50% on most products and bundles (Phasefreak and The Bottle excluded). https://www.manmakesnoise.com/
  5. No one is calling you anything. We have differing opinions on the matter, I was just saying why I would not give any more money to Aria Sounds. Personally I believe that we can affect how developers develop their products. If we buy what ever poor quality they push out, most developers will not automatically become better when they sell said poor quality product. A lot of developers do things with passion, but I feel that the largest mass of sample library developers just "do it for the money" and will not change before they are made to change (when they don't sell said poor quality product). And no matter what the quality of the product a company should listen to their users gripes and suggestions, these will most likely make their products better. As for Aria Sounds, I kinda think they are pretty much dead since they have not released anything new in years. And support, I on the other hand have a different feel. I can count with one hand the times I've received bad support. I might have been lucky, who knows, but most of the time the support I've received has been fantastic from most companies. Some have even done things I did not request in my original message to them, but would have been the next thing I would have asked (a big shout out here to Klevgrand, simply stunning support from them).
  6. I just feel that people should not be giving money to a developer so unresponsive on products that are not good nor complete.
  7. And ah, it's, well, it's probably pretty obvious what I'm about to say as it is Aria Sounds.
  8. Today starts Man Makes Noise's summer sale! Almost everything is -50% even the Omnisphere Bundle. Only Phasefreak and The Bottle are excluded as they were just on introduction sale. The sale will last until the the 4th of July 2021. So head over to Man Makes Noise https://www.manmakesnoise.com/ and use the code HAMMOCKTIME on checkout!
  9. Aaaand that's Aria Sounds which is one of suckier companies around, so I would steer away and spend that money on something worth while.
  10. Wish they had the Modern U on sale... Enough with the grand pianos.
  11. Not a good price. They'd have to pay you more to grab a cowbell.
  12. It's PP's 2nd birthday so there's also a sweet 140 patch free content bank available: https://kilohearts.com/blog/phase_plant_2nd_anniversary Nudge nudge, that bank has six Man Makes Noise patches in it...
  13. "Get your analog modeled piano squirrel here!"
  14. I can't help it but "analog emulations" are starting to be like piano libraries.
  15. The plugins are deceptively simple but can yield fantastic results. The free Snap Heap is an awesome tool to create fx chains.
  16. Well you don't need anything outside Phaseplant if you just use presets. You just can't modify the parameters if those effects you don't own. Personally I think the Kilohearts stuff is some of the best I have in my arsenal.
  17. I love odd little things that make sound. And Arturia's MicroFreak is just that kind of a thing. It's a mighty little beast with a huge sound. Also I love things you can mess around, rearrange and scramble anyway you want. Which is why I love Kilohearts' Phase Plant. So naturally I had to pair those two up. I recorded sounds from the MicroFreak and tweaked, turned and generally messed with them inside Phase Plant. The result is a cinematic synth set that has a futuristic scifi sound. The range is from squeaky clean and ethereal to dirty and gritty as heck. Contents 100 cinematic patches for Kilohearts' Phase Plant synth and takes up 195 mb of hard drive space. PhaseFreak requires Kilohearts' Phase Plant to work. Pricing PhaseFreak retails for 29€ (excluding VAT where applicable) with an introductory offer of 19€ until the 9th of June 2021. https://www.manmakesnoise.com/phasefreak
  18. Saturate has become one of my favorites lately. Such a a great sounding tool.
  19. The Bottle is now also available at Loot Audio: https://www.lootaudio.com/category/kontakt-instruments/man-makes-noise/the-bottle
  20. This is one of those projects that one hopes will turn out superb and different, but all the time I keep thinking: can the sound that makes the Japanese orchestra be transferred into samples... I hope so.
