  1. @Gswitz Thanks for letting us know about SCA. It's a shame to see they are closing. I wonder when their lease runs out? @53mph I have half dozen SCA modules including an A12 (not A12B). It's based on the API console pre. I use the A12 a lot for mic'ing electric guitars and bass DI. I believe the difference between the A12B and A12 is mainly the discrete opamp being built on the board as opposed to the discrete opamp module on the A12. Should be nearly the same. My setup uses the SCA rack which has a power supply and 8 slots. The SCA rack appears to be discontinued.
  2. Another vote to add Visual Clip Gain as described in the above posts (i.e. visual gain applies to the entire clip). In addition, it would be nice to enhance the existing 'Apply Effect > Gain' with some real-time visual feedback. The "Process > Gain" is useful since it doesn't require splitting the audio into clips. For example: when leveling wayward vocal dynamics, splitting into many small clips can become cumbersome. Perhaps there's a way to combine both 'visual clip gain' and gain on a selected area of the audio. Although, this could be confusing and it's probably better to keep the two features separate.
  3. Here's a link to the 'Feedback Loop' forum request for "Visual Clip Gain". This would be a nice feature to have in CbB.
  4. I don't believe ctrl+z works on faders/knobs (i.e. controls) in CbB. This seems like a good feature request and a topic for the "Feedback Loop" forum. I know some other DAWs implement ctrl+z on controls, but don't have "revert" functionality like CbB. In CbB, each fader/knob keeps the previous value after a change which can be reverted with the right-click menu as described previously. This can be really useful when wanting to revert a change later in an editing session.
  5. Using the mouse, right-click on the fader or knob, and select "Revert to …" It should show the previous value. If the value hasn't changed, I believe there will not be a "Revert to …" in the menu. "Fader" meaning the same as "slider". Hope that's what you are looking for.
  6. One methodology to accomplish this, is to use the "gain" change under the process menu (with a caution): Select the area in the waveform/clip to change the gain. Menu: Process > Apply Effect > Gain. The gain change will appear immediately. CAUTION: The downside of doing it this way is that the operation can be permanent (see the documentation). It can be reverted using the "undo" command. However, I'm not sure it's recoverable beyond "undo". Although, CbB might save the original track in the audio folder. Would be wise to duplicate the track first, so that it can be easily be recovered. P.S. A keyboard shortcut can be created for the "Gain" menu to speed up the process.
  7. In the track view, left side of the track, there is the edit filter menu with "Clips", "Automation", "Clip Automation", etc. After adding the automation, did you select "Clips" in the menu? This allows the track/clips to be edited again.
  8. Thank you for pointing out these facts so clearly. This information often gets obscured in the discussions about convolution/IRs/FFTs (i.e. DSP) used for amp & cabinet modeling. I wonder how Kemper and others capture the non-linear characteristics in their profiling.
  9. The 'horizontal' sends are still available in the track view. Is it possible there's not a send added to your track? The horizontal send faders will not appear if no send has been added to the track.
  10. At first, I couldn't login using IE11. I had to use Chrome. Oddly, after the initial login with Chrome, IE11 worked for me on both Win7 and Win10. I remember clearing the browser files (i.e. temporary Internet files, etc. ) on the Win10 PC before IE11 worked, but can't confirm that's what fixed the issue. This post was done using IE11. I know some folks have tried clearing the browser files, but still aren't able to use IE11.
  11. Glad to hear you can get access using IE11 again. It's still working for me too. I probably deleted the browsing history (once, not on exit) in both IE11 and Chrome before IE11 would work.
  12. The first time I tried accessing the new forum with IE11, it would not let me login. I tried IE 11 several times without success. I then used Chrome to successfully login. Oddly, I tried IE11 again and was able to login on both Win10 and Win7. I figured BandLab fixed something. However, I wonder whether the initial login to the forum with Chrome nudged some parameter (locally or on the forum server) which allowed IE 11 to work. Maybe this is a possible solution for others who still want to use IE11 to login. -Tom
