On your channel, below where it says "audio" or "midi" there is a box named "clips" in there there select "automation" and using the automation line, add to where you want the effect to be added on the track, you will need to add the vst effect as you have before first, it will show it in the list for selection.

have you tried through the help menu?  seems to be a well known tip.

it's already a plug in , you can control it from your computer, 

it's a $6000 dollar plug in comes with some hardware free of charge.

there is no trojan present on my system, the file wasn't opened, I scanned my system last evening, over 200,000 files including the registry, only one file flagged, deres wa productions, put into quarantine. 

I contacted them, they're not interested, literally couldn't care less.

It's interesting you found something, because WA Productions says my antivirus was making it up, this is what was found by myself

 FILE RISK Trojan(win32/heur generic.HyoD68kB) 

this is just unpacking the file and scanning it, not trying to install it.

no way i'll be putting that on my computer.

Probably a good thing, I have too many plugins already at this stage.

Is there an audio interface involved in this set up? or is the midi out of the yamaha 323 sent straight to your pc/ laptop?

also it is not normal to be able to have dual monitoring outputs i.e pc and keyboard speakers simultaneously, unless using an interface or a small mixer, you can't do it from cakewalk directly.

there maybe some issue with your settings in the softsynth that is not letting the signal pass through without first pressing the pedal ?

I'm sure you problem will be solved, there are some quite clever people on here.

ok, but is it a sustain pedal or a latching on/off pedal?  I'd recommend finding the model number to check.

Is it possible your pedal may be a momentary pedal instead of a latched pedal ? or vice versa ?

cakewalk would be measuring DBFS levels, youlean would be measuring measuring LUFS, as mentioned the intersample peaks are obviously measured differently aswell, cakewalk may be more accurate infact. imo.

Interesting fact, some mastering engineers say not to worry too much about intersample peaks, some will go as far as +1 over, lets the audio sound more natural after limiting.

only spotify streaming people worry about these things, some people just worry about playing the music on PA's or in nightclubs.

kudos for providing this information, best of luck and success with the new iteration of the Sonar software. 

No doubt it will come in at the No 1 spot in DAW software moving forward.

Just don’t ever loose the CbB full installer from last fall that did include it. 
In the future if you build / purchase a new computer you might not be able to save projects from CbB but I would think you would be able to install it and therefore still install the TTS-1. 
There’s always the Roland SC VST. It’s only around $70.

The app only downloads the update.  I'm sure it's not the full installer.
