  1. I really like this solution, especially knowing that at least since Win3.1 "Ctrl+TAB" switches between two windows in the same application. Thanks, Craig. You're awesome as always!
  2. But this is exactly what "the art of music production" is about: Don't let the hard- or software get in the way of your creative workflow. The magic happens without noticing the exact way to the goal. You just used your ears to achieve that well done mix? You closed your eyes while feeling the right things? You did everything in the right way!
  3. Hello Darinador, the demo you found is a really great one. It's professionally made by Jimmy Landry especially for Sonar X3. To run it in its full extend you need several plugins which are currently not available for CbB (only Sonar X3 Producer / Platinum owners may have installed them): Lounge Lizard Session 4 (Synth Rack) Dimension Pro (Synth Rack) Dimension Pro (Synth Rack) Rapture (Synth Rack) LP-64 Multiband (Bus: 'Master') LP-64 EQ (Bus: 'Master') BT BrickWall BW2S-3 (Bus: 'Master') TS-64 Transient Shaper (Track: 'Jav 4033a') BT Compressor CP2S-3 (Track: 'Ld Takes') BT Compressor CP2S-3 (Track: 'JL E Gtr 1') biFilter2 (Track: 'Dimension Pro 1 Primary Output: Stereo') BT BrickWall BW2S-3 (Bus: 'DRUM MASTER') BT Compressor CP2S-3 (Bus: 'DRUMS CMPRSS') BT Limiter LM2S-3 (Bus: 'BASS BUS') BT Limiter LM2S-3 (Bus: 'AC GTRS') BlueVerb DRV-2080 (Bus: 'AC Verb 1') BT Analog Chorus CH2S-3 (Bus: 'Gtr Fx 1') BT Tempo Delay DL3D-3 (Bus: 'Gtr Fx 2') BT Analog Phaser APH2S-3 (Bus: 'Gtr Fx 2') BT Stereo Imager ST2S-3 (Bus: 'Gtr Fx 2') BT Analog Chorus CH2S-3 (Bus: 'Modulation') BT Limiter LM2S-3 (Bus: 'LEAD VOX') BT Analog Chorus CH2S-3 (Bus: 'Vox FX 1') In the cwp file you will find a bounced version to hear what's going on, but I don't know if this would really help you... Best regards
  4. And now we should all buy CLA Epic (the big brother of CLA EchoSphere). 29.99$ for the next 18hrs, 21Mins. 😉 BTW: Is there anybody who has figured out how this kind of effect combination could be done with an Cakewalk FX chain?
  5. Oh, this is what Cakewalk built in for the Melodyne5-Integration: "Selection of the algorithm". If you get all the same note the used algorithm is "percussion". You should use "melodic" instead, I guess...
  6. I just right-clicked to clip and selected "Bounce to clips". voila
  7. Hi Marc! In my Opinion it's a very good idea to deliver content for Cakewalk in this layer. Maybe you will complete this with project / track templates, groove quantize files, VST Setups etc. When you're new to a DAW you often have to initially configure a lot by yourself. Idea: What about a full package of Cakewalk contents? BTW: Would there be a chance for a cloud based integrated configuration browser working like these great sound libraries? 8. There's one good reason to use this feature with a negative value, if possible: To let the Strings of a plugin start a little bit earlier to sound more realistic 😉
  9. Hi Ricky, the wrong link, this one is better: http://forum.cakewalk.com/UPDATED-Configuring-Your-APro-to-Work-WithWithout-ACT-m2181430.aspx it helped me to setup the APRO. It'S easy, just open PRefs and click on the right devices. I haven't installed AZ Controller yet but a friend of mine got it going
  10. Maybe this helps: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?&m=2077977&mpage=1 You may even like to use "AZ Controller", made by User AZSLOW(.com) Have fun with your Cakewalk-made-to-measure-controller 😉
  11. Trying the srub tool - pressing J and "marking" the track with the left mouse button - leads to "A dropout has stopped the Audio Engine (12)". But "Realtek HD Audio" in this Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 running on Asio4All might not be the right audio solution. I will try it on my Roland Quadcapture later. 😉
  12. ADSR is known for crashes if no sample is loaded in it. Have you checked this?
  13. Hmm...I heard about a Tool made by @azslow3 called "AZ Controller", maybe this could help? I'm planning to try it with my A-Pro300 soon...
  14. ...and isn't it correct that you can have installed and run Sonar and CakewalkByBandlab on your pc at the same time? If CbB doesn't work for some reasons (I can't imagine any) you can still run Sonar? No risk at all, I think.
  15. I'd add a new track to the project and record a kind of a manual made beat - just hit your keyboard and record e.g. a bass drum. This takes an amount of time and you have to be good at playing along in the right tempo but you can edit your recording and correct your mistakes. After that create a tempo map from that new track and surprise - it'll be exactly on the beat (hopefully) 😉 and you can align your AD to it. Just a little hack if you're good at playing along with band ... I did it once and I was very satisfied with the result. No automation is used but you wasted no time in trying to find the ultimate setup for it. What do you think?
