I know this is old but for anyone who needs help I figured it out. Open bias fx 2 vst. At the top where the vst drop down menu is within the UI of bias fx2 click on it and open 'plug-in properties'. Check configure as a synth. Create a separate midi track on cakewalk. On the 1st drop down menu (by default will say 'clips') navigate though automation menu and click 'MIDI...' at the bottom. Change value to '4-foot controller'. Ok it then select the output of your new midi channel to bias fx2 via the drop down menu. You may need to arm the track for recording to read the midi data I'm not totally sure but this worked for me I hope it works for you.
