    Microphone Question

G’mawnin again, First, thank you for your advice and admonitions regarding multiple posts and posting of files too large, I’ve been sufficiently spanked. Und now, my first in a series of questions which follow my posts of yesterday. This is a question about a microphone, hopefully it may here be addressed. The mic is a Behringer B-2 pro. I have found only partial answers in Behringer documentation. The mic has 3 toggle switches; one of them toggles 3 ways, the other 2 toggle 2 ways; this allows for 12 possibilities of configuration. My ultimate question here is: which is the best possible configuration to use with my DAW? I’m using Cakewalk, of course, the mic is connected to an Alesis Multimix 4 USB FX board which is connected to my PC. Unfortunately, I used WAY too much space yesterday, and I cannot attach any pics, if it is not too much to ask, could you look at the (oversized) pics I posted yesterday, in a series of 4 posts that included the words “Pics of My Gear” ? Thank you, -Ken *I’m fully aware I’ve been a pain in the @$$ so far, won’t happen again.

    Pics of My Gear

I learned about pic sizes and overall member space allotment today, thank you. I’ll probably just screenshot any big pics I have from here on in. I was going to ask a few questions today but got busy with my day, I will have a few questions tomorrow. Thanks.
  4. Hi Will, I don’t know if you’re a member or an admin but I just went back and read the announcement proceeding the beginning of this forum and…HOLY SHIT! Members are allotted 50 MB each! One of my photos was 488 MB! On one hand I don’t think 50 makes sense otherwise people could hardly post anything…but I’ll be more careful next time and will certify understand if my pics are removed.
  5. Hi Will, it was my intent to put up one post, but the photos were too large, I could only squeeze 2 per message. -Ken

    Pics of My Gear

WG’mawnin again, this is so much fun. Esp knowing I’m going to get something out of it. Before I create a template I took pics of my gear. I’m not going to include them in the template but I am going to share them now. I’d love to hear from anyone who has used any of these, and I’m going to have a question. Unfortunately I’m going to have to include the attached pics over a few posts, they’re big. Microphone: Behringer B-Pro. 3 toggle switches; one toggles 3 ways, the other 2 toggle 2 ways. Pics of each of them. This is what my question will involve. Board: Alesis Multimix 4 USB FX. I love this thing. I may have a question or 2 about it at some point also. Comouter: IBM ThinkCentre. Intel Core i5 3.20 GHz processor. 4 GB RAM. 1 TB HD. Windows 11. Headphones: I can’t tell what kind they are but they work fine
  7. G’mawnin. Thanks for your responses to my posts yesterday. Since I’m going to be a regular here, I want to itemize all my stuff—mic, board, PC, etc. so potential respondents will know all about my DAW. I want to have this info in a template so that it’s part of all of my posts. Where is the best place to put this info? Thanks, -k
  8. Thanks Scook. I figured it was something like that.
  9. Hi Thanks for the ad! I’m new to this forum and almost brand new to Cakewalk, have been using/learning it for about a month. Just long enough to be dangerous. My question is: while I’m recording a track, should the track settings be set to : Master (as in Paulie) or Speakers (as in Mando 2) ? Or does it even matter, as I record a single track? Thanks! -Ken
  10. Hi, I’m new to this, is there a sub-group that only discusses Cakewalk use, how to do stuff, etc? Thanks, -Kem
