lemme help you out, go to edit open preferences check on file under it open folder locations and check your Templates make sure you have C/cakewalk content /cakewalk core/project templates
This 100% fixed my problem. Start screen showed up but no actual icons (Basic, 4-track,etc.), but then reconnecting to the correct folder brought them back! Thanks.
