BUMP 2.72 is out
-
a little odd so long after release but the Music City expansion just got an update - to both midi and sounds The sounds expansion update is quite large at about 1gig - can't find release notes though ? Think it's been about 12 years since release. EDIT just found this in some deleted release notes for SD 3.3.4/5 "The presets in Music City USA SDX aren't showing in the preset menu. That will be fixed in a sound library update to that SDX soon"
-
absolutely - what I meant is that it's similar, in that it's a small developer doing something a bit different, and it's reasonably priced.
-
have you put a support ticket in ?
-
my take on the reasons for buying Scaler is a bit different...... We (mostly!) spend lots of money on different sample sets - 101 virtual pianos - 1001 different compressor plugins - 2001 different softsynths. The same big companies putting out more and more of the same old stuff. In most cases, zero innovation. Scaler is doing something different and providing a useful and interesting composition tool. It's a small developer - providing frequent updates - and doing something differently - and (in the UK) only £39. What's not to like ? If you can afford it then I can't see a decent reason not to buy it (FWIW you could substitute UNIFY for scaler and the same would be true)
-
puny discount And of course you can't use the $25 dollar voucher either. I'm waiting for the 50% off which I think we'll see next year.
-
humour doesn't always translate very well on internet forums - rest assured scalar is well loved on this forum
-
Roger, I think Reid may have been joking (edit - nick beat me to it !)
-
well they might not be for another product - but they are the same ones that I got for something else ...and they don't work for +10db ! I'd drop Boz an email - it's fairly clear the upgrade system is a bit broken - I'm sure he'll sort out the upgrade for you.
-
I know ! - it's a (pre-) Christmas miracle
-
did you click the link in the FAQ that adds it to your cart ? Not sure if it's the same as the standard 'add to cart' on the plugin page ? ALSO yes - the serials I got for V2 don't work - one of them is actually a serial for another product I already had from Boz looks like a general clusterf*ck - I'm sure it will get sorted soon,
-
bump as it's now live
-
I sorted this out for those seeing the $10 update price when you already have V1 of the bundle there is something on the FAQ about 'missing plugins' - even though all the plugins showed in my account https://www.bozdigitallabs.com/faqs/ first FAQ Add the +10db bundle V1 to your basket by clicking that link >>>>> cost $0.00 >>> then checkout now your account is 'fixed' you see $0.00 for the upgrade to V2
-
the upgrade to +10db Compressor from V1 to V2 is £79.96 at pluginboutique (same for the EQ) buying +10db Compressor new, without the upgrade, is £22.96 all a bit of a mess at the moment
-
I own quite a few plugins including +10db bundle v1 $10 for me to upgrade has anyone emailed Boz for clarification ? - no point in everyone doing it
-
As Brian says, that post is from 2020 Virustotal is showing that site as clean now ? By default the UVI portal uses the 'torrent' protocol so maybe this flagged a problem - FWIW you can turn the 'torrent' off in the Portal settings EDIT Virustotal's report of 'clean' is actually from 2019 - can't seem to find a way to rescan ? EDIT 2 - found the rescan came up clean apart from one scanner - assume false positive EDIT -3 tried doing the check in quttera (the one that returned the positive) - it's insisting there is malware (on 14 files ?)
-
yes - I really like Eventide but I totally agree - They are happy to email me about every sale and new product but don't bother with software updates.
-
bump as it's updated to 1.1.7 1.1.7 Added resizable UIs for Tverb, UltraReverb, Octavox, and Quadravox Improved metering cpu performance for SplitEQ and Physion Mk II
-
Lots of companies even give away the 'lite' versions to everyone for free to entice you to upgrade to the 'full' version On a positive note at least it saved me the the trouble of downloading and installing it
-
personally I think this should be a freebie for Smart:limit users - not sure that asking us to pay for it is justified.
-
possibly if you want to buy it again ? but should be a FREE download in the Arturia software center as you own V3
-
the bad news is that you have to install K 7 Player just for some free sleigh bells
-
You're right, the search engine isn't really working effectively. Taking "U 67" as an example - it leads to a page with some information (not as comprehensive as recordinghacks) - then asks you to click for "Micpedia’s article on the U 67". This gives you a 404-error - although the URL it sends you to is a link to the U67 reissue, which isn't actually the same mic. I do agree that recordinghacks looks a bit "web 1.0" but that new (?) site puts all the text in a small scrolling window, so that it may look prettier but isn't nearly as user-friendly (rant over !)
-
it's terrible - let's try the most famous mics of all time: a search for C12 just comes with some random modern clones search for U47 comes up with the modern TF clone a search for U47 Fet points to the OPR clone a search for U67 comes up blank try a more modern classic - Royer r121 - no result - you need to search for R-121 - not Royer or R121 the links themselves are just the manufacturers blurb (EXACT reproduction of a V14 etc ) It's just a weak excuse to try to sell you some product much better is: http://recordinghacks.com/microphones
