I was just playing with Portatron yesteday. It's nothing that you can't do with samples and effects in a DAW, but the nostalgia factor is pretty high. I kind of miss my 4-track Portastudio. There's something about the hands-on simplicity that keeps your concentration focused. And this plugin replicates that really well.

Lots of "needs improvement" and "I prefered how it worked in V2" comments on their YouTube videos. I'll skip this upgrade.
Agreed - and that color scheme... 😬

Apparently he only needs one monitor(speaker).
Yes, and his cables are cut off in mid-air...

$89.00 intro price (normally $129)
Revelation Hybrid Mallets is the third Kontakt instrument in the Revelation series of rule breaking hybrid synths from Sound Yeti. Built on a foundation of three sampled mallet instruments: Marimba, Vibes and Glockenspiel, all with character-filled articulations and rich tonal control.

Could you elaborate a bit on that comment please? I know everyone has a different way of working, but it might be helpful for us who are still deciding.
I posted this over on VI-Control. Not knocking the dev at all, I usually like Sample Logic stuff and it's typically high-quality, but what put me off the most was the very short samples. There were very few patches that I feel were useful melodically.
"I normally like Sample Logic libraries but I'm having a hard time finding something I like in this one. Many of the samples are very short (plucks, short flutes, vocal syllables, etc.). There are no articulations or useful modulations. No key switches. The effects have sequencing ability but even things like reverb don't give you any of the normal Kontakt options (different convolution sources, etc.).
Maybe it's just me, but I would definitely wait for a walk through/patch demo for this one." -

Yes, I did get that email. But I won’t buy without a walkthrough to tell me what it offers.
A wise decision. I jumped the gun and wish I hadn't. Just not a usable library for me.

If you have World AI, you should get an email with a code for another $25.00 off, so that brings the cost down to $50.00.
But, I agree, they need to put out a walk-through video.

There will be a livestream from Plugin Boutique with u-he on the 26th of October (not sure about the date, definetly October), those are pretty much always combined with sales. Also the NKS Native Instruments x u-he sales that sometimes come up at the end of the year where 50% off.
Ah - thanks! I think I will hold off then.

Thinking about U-HE Satin: $129 - $20 = $109...?

Seeing that Bitwig and PreSonus created this project exchange format, I assume they will work together to get CLAP in Studio One with Version 7
That and the fact they are developing a Linux version seems like a good bet they will support CLAP.

Anyone know if this is for new subscriptions only? I had a sub with them for a year but then didn't renew.

No one EXCITED about "PreSonus Sphere" being renamed/rebranded "Studio One+"?? Come on... that is original!
The next version will be called "Studio One + One"...

You can sample it. Make sure it takes up 25gb of space and state it has 4000 velocity layers, true legato, and someone will buy if for sure.
And market it using words like “Ultimate” and “Epic”…

Bitwig is (unfortunately) the last holdout on not having retrospective recording.
There is also this (MIDI recording is in beta):

Heads up! From their webpage....
Good catch! Sorry I missed that...

Found this useful for DAWs that don't have a native "retrospective record" feature (like Bitwig):
"Rewind records like a conveyor belt in memory, so you always have the latest audio/midi available. Easily record your studio, your DAW, your music on Spotify or something else you like on Youtube. When you find something you like, you can drag it into your music, vlog or video program and make magic!"
$24.99 down from $34.99. Sign up for their newsletter and get an additional 10% off.
Note: iLock registration. Two installs are allowed.

Yeah, weird. And there's a quick YT video that I guess has been up for a few days. But like you say, radio silence on AAS's site.

Looks like it already expired (4/7). But it looks like a decent app and might try it out anyway. Thanks for the link!
