  1. Plug in boutique has this too for a similar rice. Another Sonivox product that was a no brainer for me- VOCALIZER PRO This is now going for under 10.00. It's a vocoder and so much more.
  2. Already downloaded and looking it over...sweet!
  3. That seems odd. There are several effects software on/off switches. If you look at Scook's video you will see a small green indicator on the left of the effects bin. The effects bin can be toggled off and on with a similar button on the efx box inside of the effects bin. There's also a master on/off button to the right of the time counter. Any of these can turn off the effects.
  4. There are a few videos on the site. Lots of presets. Seems to be a learning curve. Probably not the kind of thing I'll throw on and immediately know how to use it. Shouldn't take much to get around it though with a little investigation. I'm guessing it can be automated.
  5. Didn't see that one. I just ordered this. They threw in the Punisher for free plus I earned a little virtual cash. I bought Phoenix on a deal and had hoped they would have a deal like this for Nimbus. It is discounted 50% at PB . Still around 80 clams.
  6. Upgrade from any Izotope product. $8.01 Regular price- 119.45 EXCALIBUR
  7. It seems that you were able to insert the effect and "slide things around". You must expand the effect by double clicking on it to make the adjustments. You may drop effects either in the designated fx area or into the pro channel strip. Is the effect showing in the effects bin? FYI- The "tiny" EQ in the console can be expanded much larger.
  8. The Kontakt factory library under "World" has a few.
  9. Well.............plug in scanning and moving plugins around can cause issues such as not seeing a plug in if the manufacturer designated an installation path tied to the arrangement of folders. I have had this happen with Addictive Drums and a few others. Every time Windows updated I would need to re register the product. Did you do clean installs? Many of the same plugins are often installed in different variations. VST2 and VST 3 folders are often separated. Without bitbridge or similar Cakewalk won't pick up 32 bit plugins. Not sure specifically about Kontakt and how it's set up because I never messed with their folder configurations. I have both K5 and K 6 on my system. I can see both but they are in different locations. I think the main issue with Cakewalk is there are so many options to selct in the plug in scanner. You may select not to scan VST 2 . I suspect this might be your issue. Another potential problem is if a plug in was "sandboxed" you might need to rescan it.
  10. I found this one but it's kinda out there. I doubt it's' serious endeavor.
  11. They play well together. In fact Cakewalk recently made a few updates to the instrument section allowing easier use up multi instruments, or putting 16 tracks in each Kontakt shell. Once you learn how to "point" the audio to the right places you can save a template and reuse it over and over again. If you wanted to be more specific you could make a brass template, a strings template, a small ensemble template etc. This allows for more control at the beginning of projects that might not resemble one another with respect to instruments selection. Or for unique combinations in larger works.
  12. No worries. I can get edgy sometimes here all pinned up in the house lol. I hate to admit that but it's true. UPDATE- Simon emailed me back from Germany. Is it the same Simon as we have here? In any case, he corrected the issue. From his comments it would appear that my download counter needed to be reset. Not sure why because I never downloaded even one time. I have the files now. Simon was very helpful and I appreciate him working this out. 👍
  13. I live in the US but never heard this as a saying until now. If my frustration shows I am sorry. I thought the comment added insult to injury but I guess I didn't understand it. If the saying came from Chicago that explains it since I'm not familiar with that lingo. Have a good day! Yeah I have that email too but this is still what I'm getting. Maybe because they extended the deal? Here's what I get-
  14. Not sure why some were able to do it right around the same time I tried and succeeded. Maybe there are multiple servers. After several attempts I emailed them. Have not heard back. "Contact us if you need this file". I did. What's that supposed to mean? Order often? Does that give a person an added benefit? Ordering early might have some benefit, but I just seen it so "early" to me isn't early to you.
  15. Are you referring to the v-vocal plugin that did a similar thing to Melodyne? That one went away with Sonar Platinum. Creative Sauce has an excellent video channel that covers CbB. One of his videos shows how to unlock some of those Cakewalk plugins. Unfortunately v-vocal isn't one of em'.
  16. Same here. I suspect the server is overloaded. I am going to wait a awhile. Hopefully we won't have to contact CS. I appreciate their generosity.
  17. Can anyone tell me if it would be an advantage to buy the original Tina Quo cello if I already have Tina Quo 2? Thanks!
  18. They look interesting. Thanks!
  19. The idea "behind" the pic goes back several years on the forum. I just found it roving around on Google Someone put up a pic of a product called Crack Spackle on the old CW forum. I actually found the video for it. Marketeers capitalizing on any situation was what gave me the thought. I mean you can find almost anything put there now to fill a perceived need. The plug in guys really don't need to market to me, just lower the price and if I like it and can afford it, I'l probably buy it.
  20. Using the current events for an angle to sell a product doesn't surprise me. Some offers are "dual purpose" in that they really do offer us something we might like while referring to the virus in various ways.. Everything we see mostly has some kind of marketing embedded into it, at least here in the US it's that way. There's Black Friday sale, Labor Day Sale, on and on it goes. There is the -You have this product and for a a limited time you can upgrade to the next version of it for this much $$. As distasteful as it is , if there had been a Tsunami hit California...some insensitive marketer would be having a "ride the wave" sale. Of course no one in California would be buying any of it. I feel insensitive in even saying it but I know someone would probably go for it. This is a bit different since we have so many people at home now. It's really a GREAT opportunity to market. What better way to do it than download a copy of Cubase or Ableton and play around with it. Five years from now some kid will be saying, "Yeah, when I was off of school I downloaded a 90 Days free copy of Brand **** DAW and that's how I learned this. It makes a much better option than deciding to go out and see what trouble we can get into...,.but yeah. It's marketing. Seems just about everything is marketing nowadays. Seems there's a product solution for every problem known to man.
  21. I've been getting ready to get ready to start something. That qualifies as almost a goal. I recorded a bunch of stuff tonight and erased all of it. If a track was recorded in solitude and no one ever heard it, was it still a song? Most of it almost sounded like something..I was mainly laying tracks down in two different DAWS to isolate a problem I was having with a VSTi. In Cakewalk I just bumped my mod wheel and I had sound from the instrument the midi was tied to. The mod wheel is CC#1 tied to volume. In the other DAW it did nothing. This was after messing around with it for two hours writing midi control automation into the track yada yada yada. I opened it up again and it worked. I have no idea what I did to fix it. I guess my "goal" was to do something. I accomplished that. My next goal is to do something else that involves making music and not messing with a DAW.
  22. My plan was to maybe help someone out who doesn't have Kontakt. I figured I don't use K5 and always reach for K6. If it's going to mess with my setup though I probably shouldn't try it.
  23. I like the C-7 in Sampletank. The CE version of ST was free and it likely has at least one or two pianos in it. I recently linked to a site called pianobook in the deals thread with an example of a free pianos sampled and uploaded by a guy named Jon Meyer. HERE. You will need Kontakt full though. Addictive keys is a nice piano and I use it sometimes. Haven't tried Sonovox. You can go big like the one Simeon just reviewed from Embertone over 200gb. Check that out HERE On the lower end there are some nice bread and butter pianos from Sampletekk HERE They tend to be great for computers that don't have a lot of storage space. Pianoteq isn't really a sample library but a modeled piano meaning it doesn't require a lot of disk space and it sounds very good. Pianos are very subjective and a lot depends on the kind of sound you are after. The pianos in Komplete can be hit or miss for me. They are all nice but they don't all fit into mixes well. Hope this helps.
  24. LOL. Introducing the Mac Pre. quarter pounder. You made me hungry for a burger .
