Tiny Bubbles?

I was blown away by how much this video looks like the one Paulo posted in Tom's thread - except this one HAS Bowie in it!  Then I realized they took footage from multiple performances and some WERE from the event Paulo posted.  Just check out the faraway shot of the stage - no Bowie.  Then there's one with a different backline.

Not the direction I was going when I started posting this though...  The thing I was going to show is how much respect Bowie has for Freddie yet, in the following video, it's just he and Mick trying hard to be the one in front - LOL!

I'm always reminded how much I regret not seeing Queen live with Freddie...  Good song, but it really does need Bowie up there with Freddie!

I was in a friend's studio awhile back and he was mixing this album for a singer he has under contract.  I thought her voice was fantastic.   
I was told she tours with Stevie Wonder and is signed with Quincy Jones Productions to perform at his clubs around the world. 

I recently saw her on a PBS special with David Foster.  She is very well known in the business but still just about unknown to the general public.
Attached is a video where she's singing at the Obama White House's tribute to Burt Bacharach.

 

 

Finally got around to watching this.  Right off the bat I was thinking "Why is she playing piano?  They should have someone else doing that so she can be front and center!"  Then she stopped playing and did just that.  LOL.

Very well done!  I liked how restrained the band was to help focus attention on the vocals.  That wasn't a song to be belted out though I'm pretty sure she can handle that!  I'll have to look up some of her other stuff later. ?

It was about time for a Bayou Bill apology. ?

No wonder I can't play well...  I'm reading this as playing nothing but down strokes for at least two months...

Only if you are using delayed writes can ejecting before clicking on that link be a problem.

Not sure what I can add, it really was all about telling myself that my disks were regenerating instead of degenerating (which is what the doctor said they were doing).  The rest included some self-hypnosis that I was healing, but that's about it!

At one point I was having really bad lower back spasms that would drop me to the ground.  The doctor said my L3 and L4 had degenerated and were starting to mix together (and he had the x-ray to prove it).  The usual fusion surgery was recommended.  Needless to say, since this was when I was working on my PhD, I bounced the issue off of one of the instructors who suggested I try an NLP technique called "reframing."  Because all of the cells in your body are always being replaced (skin quickly, bones the slowest), this meant saying my disks were regenerating instead of degenerating.  It took well over three years, but my issues went away.  Then I blew out my rotator cuff and was back at the same doctor who asked how I had injured myself.  When I said it was playing A-level softball he asked how I was even able to play with my back issues.  After I told him what I did he wanted to take a new x-ray (which he paid for himself) and the first words out of his mouth when the x-ray arrived were "that's impossible!"  Sorry Doc, but I really did regrow my disks!

Two things were learned:  One, you have far more control over your body than you think and, two, doctors are great, but they don't know everything!
