  1. Thanks for listening and for your comments Tom - yeah, the SG has a bit of nastiness to it - just right for this song. The patch in Amplitude is the British Lead S100 with a tube compressor and digital reverb on it. I like Amplitude - sounds great - my only complaint is that it's a bit slow to load, and if I use numerous instances of it in a project, sometimes the project crashes when I try to open it later on. Perhaps I should freeze the Amplitude tracks once I'm done mixing. I don't have this problem with TH-U. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
  2. Thanks Bjorn - I'm glad you liked it.
  3. Very kind words for you to say Mark - thank you very much.
  4. Thanks for listening Daryl - I appreciate it.
  5. Thanks for listening Ed - I appreciate your ears and kind comments. Regarding the bass, I used the ProChannel PC2A Leveler on it.
  6. I'm glad you liked it David - thanks.
  7. Thanks for listening Jack - I appreciate it.
  8. I love the tones you generate on your Strat - nicely done. Oh, by the way - it looks like you're sitting in a sauna - I've read that just about everybody in Finland has a sauna - lol.
  9. This is a cool groove and melody - the length seems to indicate that it's an album cut - nothing wrong with that. I liked your vocal on this one. I agree with what was mentioned above - it could use some changes coming in earlier. I listened through headphones on my laptop - the volume is really low - not sure what your levels are on mix-down. Your stuff is always interesting to listen to.
  10. I think it's a quality mix Mark - it sounded excellent through my headphones. I liked this bit of funky jazz - the groove made me think a bit of Herbie Hancock - cool tune. I was surprised by all the guitar parts in this - but you made it work - nice job.
  11. Hi Daryl - I hope all is well with you - haven't heard from you in awhile. Cool tune - nice job of rapping by your son. This mix sounds pro to me, like something I could hear on the current Top 40 - nicely done. I agree with David - the hook is quality.
  12. Hi Everybody, This is another track for the album I'm currently working on called "The Westerly Sessions Volume IX". As always, any comments and critiques are welcome, and thanks for listening. On this one, I used the Sonitus Multiband on the drum bus - something I've never tried before. The drums are AD2. Here it is: https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14341848
  13. Very creative - I thought The Shadow definitely had a spooky vibe to it - nicely done.
  14. Really cool mix and I liked the song as well - the guitar tones were quite good in my opinion. Kudos for the vocals as well. Nice job on the arrangement of the song - I enjoyed the listen.
  15. Thanks Kevin - I appreciate your comments.
  16. I liked the song and mix - especially your vocal - sounded really good. There's quite a bit going on in the mix, and I could hear everything clearly - nice separation of all the instruments. Nice job Lynn - it's a good song.
  17. Yes, I like the jazz guitars as well - I've never used the acoustic settings - I'll have to give them a try.
  18. This is an excellent video Bjorn - the visuals along with your atmospheric music made it a pleasure to watch - nicely done. Educational as well - I wasn't really aware of Europa.
  19. Hi Bjorn - thanks for your ears. On my vocal, I used a slap-back delay courtesy of Nomad's Blue Tubes delay plug. Thanks for listening and commenting.
  20. Thanks Larry - the drums are programmed by me using Addictive Drums 2 - the fills are GrooveMonkee. I appreciate your comments.
  21. Thanks Steve - the wah is courtesy of TH-U - plenty of cool tones in it to explore.
  22. I really enjoyed the vocal and the mix overall - nicely done. Very cool video as well.
