Im looking for some information on how to create a synth or string type pad so that I can play a chord and it will sustain indefinately so I can practice guitar over it. I have the basic Cakewalk DAW and an Arturia Keystep 37 connected via USB to my desktop PC. Any and all help is greatly appreciated as I know zero about this type of thing.

Sorry:
Cakewalk is Version 2021.04
Windows is Version 10 Home 20H2
I've tried rebooting which is about the only thing I know to do. I have looked under the audio devices but it isn't there, and I've tried unplugging and replugging it in while Cakewalk is running but no luck on anything.

I am trying to use a Behringer UM2 audio interface with Cakewalk. Windows recognizes this device but Cakewalk doesn't. Any ideas on how to fix this ?

Thank you so much. Question. Initially I had the vsts go to D but I reinstalled everything on C. Can I just remove the D drive command?

When I start Cakewalk it starts the VST scan and then as soon as it does a couple of things happen:
1. It doesn't pick up the SI Instruments at all
2. It quickly appears to hang up while saying "Scanning bzrclient.dll..."
What do I do? I have this thing run for 4 hours and nothing changed. I was using Cakewalk and never had that problem on that computer and it's an
old laptop.
