Hello All, Native Instruments turns 25, and to celebrate, they've released a free instrument called, "Twenty Five". Download Twenty Five Read More about 25 https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/play-series/twenty-five/

They should followed IK and have a buy one get 24 free sale. Now that would get me to celebrate

To avoid copying IK they decided to instead promote “get one free buy 24”.

The good news for you is that the cpu usage, although high, is relatively constant across versions. This means that you can stick with the latest. One thing that would be nice is to have settings for performance items. For example, have a few CPU hungry features of AT5 having the possibility to be disabled. One example would be disabling VIR. Since the CS version works without it, it wouldn't be that hard to do I am sure. There may be other areas that could be switched off so that it runs smoother, albeit at the cost of some audio fidelity. Just a thought.

It's not on the list...even though it should be...so no freebies... They could have allowed you to BUY The Resonator as a "get in" product and left it off of the "Freebies" list...

Correct, please check from bottom up. I prefer most recent at the top, but... that's not how it is in this case. I have made my feelings known, though. The most recent buttons at at the bottom should show your multiple choices/

Luxury! My first computer was an Atari 400 with a clock speed of 1.79 MHz and 8K of RAM. And a membrane keyboard! I actually worked on computers where the user interface was toggle switches and LEDs used to enter and display binary code. This was the beast. And people complain about the SampleTank UI.

I am from the old school of 120mhz cpu and 16mb of ram!! I rarely run more than what I need to get the job done. If I do need more I will freeze trust as needed and move on. I don't want to waste time trying to troubleshoot/problem solve while I am getting song wrote. When the time comes I have methods to get around limitations that present themselves.

@Grem Glad it worked out, we're definitely looking forward to next year to continue to make improvements and hopefully have a deal that can at least match this one if not surpass it. We're going to need to figure out how to give that one lucky 2022 Group Buy participant their free @InstrEd (and only give a free MIDI controller to another random person, plus whoever wins InstrEd will have to show proof they have no MIDI controllers at all and sign a contract agreeing to not buy or receive on for at least one year).

This seems to be the case. I selected an "Available" from the bottom. I got two choices (IOW both of my qualifying products showed up). Then I selected a choice from the higher dollar slot, confirmed, went back to the Promotions page and now I have 24 "Available" buttons!! So it will only show so many choices, then as you choose the others appear. It's all good now!! Thanks to @NOLAGuy @cclarry@Peter - IK Multimedia for helping me out. I get it now!!! LOL 😆😁

Zo, I'm sorry, I am at work so I didn't get the chance to download and install it yet. I was trying to beat Larry to posting it. LOL 😁 I know he already has it posted somewhere in this forum at 3:00 am early bird time!

I haven't upgraded (yet), but believe in Opus you can download even single instruments/sounds if you want, as Guy Michelmore demonstrates here. https://youtu.be/CTqsxR_z9X8?t=270

Acoustic guitar masterclass - the sound really dances out of my headphones - I'm reminded of some of Ant Phillips' finest solo work. All round excellent. Andy

I been doing demo tracks using MODO drums + MODO Bass and AT 5. No issues Mind you , I am only using 1 or 2 instances of AT 5 and nothing fancy. Just a one amp custom preset. I am on an older Xeon CPU.

What is this "sleep" you speak of?
  27. 2 points
Except that the Resonator UI for Kontakt is much better than SampleTank. Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing SampleTank here, but this instrument begs for intuitive control, and the SampleTank UI is a bit meh for that.

OK, I did the install of AT5 5.03. Here is the results. Using the same preset of mine (not default) as I did in this post, I ran the test as before. AT5 (5.03) 2% single instance. Six instances was 12% - 13% Then I added the Leslie as a second speaker cab to the preset and the CPU was 26% for all six instances! AT4 (4.10) single instance was 2%. Six instances was 20% with Leslie as second cab. Reinstalled 5.2.0 AT5 (5.2.0) Default preset 2% single instance. 15% - 17% six instances. With my preset Silver Plate 50 and matching cab, in the rack TERC, Digital Delay, Hall Reverb six instances 20%. - 22%. Add the Leslie as a second cab and the CPU is 25% - 26%. ON par with 5.03 and AT4 Add a second amp to the signal chain with the output going into a leslie and CPU is 29% - 30%. Add MODO drums to the mix... well it wasn't pretty. Stuttering, glitchy playback. Buffer was set to 1024. Had to archive 5 of the trks then playback was fine. Add MODO Bass...

Sheesh, they've sent me at least six emails about this. They are sure determined to give me Elements! Ironic that their thank-you for already buying Ozone 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 is a free copy of Ozone Elements. Can I exchange that for something useful, maybe a free upgrade to RX9?

I am guessing there is more than one way to accomplish what I was trying to do but this is what finally worked for me.. Here are my notes - The Loop Construction Tool – Only is available in Recording and Advanced workspace . Won't open in Basic. The Loop Construction tool is independent from the regular Cakewalk transport operations. Here is the procedure I used for my first successful Groove Loop. Created the 4 track loop. Exported the loop. Imported the loop to a new track *Selected the new track – I had tried going to Views - drop down and selected Loop Construction to open the Loop Construction Tool, but this works best for me Select the Clip and hit alt+7 (this opens the Loop Construction Tool) The Loop button turns looping on and off, and the remaining options all relate to editing the loop. When Looping is turned off, the clip displayed in the Loop Construction Tool can be Slip edited for trimming , i tweaked it a bit. After trimming, a shaded area shows the part of the clip that will be edited when looping is turn on. And, the remaining editing options can be also preformed. When editing, Cakewalk warns if data will be discarded. If you change the number if Beats, the tempo will be changed, this came into play below. There is a View Zoom Tool in the bottom right hand corner that adjusts horizontal zoom. The audio scale can be changed by Clip Dragging on the scale at the left. Once I was done editing, I closed the Loop Construction Tool to return to the Track view where the loop can be rolled out as required. The Loop Construction Tool can be reopened for further editing by double clicking. - Didn’t work, I used Alt 7 instead. Note - I left Loop enabled and closed the tool. I could then now roll the loop track out but the playback speed became way too slow. I had to turn Loop Construction back on and left Loop button on, I played with the number of Beats and was able to adjust the tempo in the extended loop to correct the slow down that had occured. Closed the Loop Construction Tool and I have my 4 minute drum loop to track my guitar and vocals to. When my guitar and vocals are completed, I will then record a full drum part. When that's done I will bring my collaborators in to create whatever parts they feel would enhance the tune. Thanks everyone for you suggestions. I did a lot of research and testing on this simple thing but I think I now have a handle on it for future projects. Since I am a drummer, I prefer creating a part with the correct feel to it for the tune I am writing. A standard metronome just doesn't project a "Feel" to the tune.
