I personally don’t like the new start screen at all. It’s labeling is confusing and yes I’ve noticed it doesn’t seem to place recently opened in order. I have returned to my old method of opening directly from my project folders.

I like this Dev. They have some creative FX. I need to dive into them more, but Dragonfly and Motion EQ are the ones I use most so far.

With a laptop, you won't really have much choice in hardware. ie: The shell will determine the motherboard. With a mobile CPU, you're going to take a performance hit (vs a desktop CPU)... so I'd go with the 14900HX (fastest currently available). You'll (of course) want to use a dedicated external audio interface. If the laptop has Thunderbolt, I'd go with a Thunderbolt audio interface. That'll yield the lowest possible round-trip latency.

Those deals are great but they're always set selections. This looks like you can pick from any of the titles.

Thanks guys, I was hoping for some more free time. Sadly, after a YEAR of free Groove3, my "total learning time" was 6 hours and 24 minutes. It would definitely NOT have been worth paying. Thanks for the responses. SonoBus definitely feels like the right option except it seems to require port forwarding and my office IT team is not comfortable doing that. I think I’m looking for a remote desktop that is specific for audio. I just feel like with all the remote session work that happens (including realtime) there has to be something out there that is specific to what I’m trying to do. I am hesitant to try the WASAPI shared driver because my system is super stable with ASIO and I don’t know what changing the driver will do. Is this something that I could try and then always change back to ASIO without issue?

Looks cool. I bought it. I find myself more often than not automating my arpeggios with envelope followers or LFO's and having a dedicated plugin for that on top of the more options it has than the somewhat limited Ableton arpeggiator, could be a great addition to my workflow.

On your channel, below where it says "audio" or "midi" there is a box named "clips" in there there select "automation" and using the automation line, add to where you want the effect to be added on the track, you will need to add the vst effect as you have before first, it will show it in the list for selection.
