TheSteven
We are happy to unveil today Blue Cat's Re-Guitar, a brand new guitar tone simulation plug-in that can completely transform the tone of your instrument: change the pickups, dig the body or emulate an acoustic guitar, in the box! The plug-in will be demoed at NAMM this week on booth #16300, and more details are already available on the Re-Guitar plug-in page. Re-Guitar is expected to be released around Q2 2019. It will be available as a built-in plug-in inside Axiom (delivered as a free update) or separately. At this occasion, Axiom is available with 25% off until January 31st. Enjoy! jude77
It looks fascinating. Can my Les Paul now sound like a Ric? My Strat like a Casino? It's impossible to imagine where technology will be in 20 years.

Monomox
When these "cats" come up with a new plugin my only question is "how much?"

It's impossible to imagine where technology will be in 20 years. Peavey Revalver 4's ACT technology has been around for a while and already does this kind of thing (albeit without the tweakability of BC Re-Guitar). You play some notes in to model your guitar tone (the "input" model), then select the output model. They've a fair selection available: https://revalver.peavey.com/store/input I've used it to match the tones of a real guitar and a VSTi guitar (Shreddage 2). In other words I model both using their own instances of Revalver, using the same output model. It sounds like the same guitar playing both parts. 1
Tapsa Kuusniemi
I'm quite interested in this as I can see so much potential for misuse of this thing...

I've got Revalver 4 and love it, but I could never get decent results out of ACT. I have a feeling, though, that's my fault and not the software's.
