Quantica Audio: Modula

Hidden Symmetry

Recommended Posts

Modula is an application external to the DAW that helps you organize plugins as if you were viewing a virtual console/mixer. Plugins can also be run in the traditional way (i.e. in the DAW) if the frame is not activated. Modula offers a limited set of features: for example mute, solo and channel bypass within a set of predefined channels.

Updates: Modula 16th December 2019
Retail $999.00 , Intro Price $699 > Together with the frame, the Modula versions of the following plugins will be included:
– Gold3 M4
– Diamond3 M4
– Magenta5 M4

Personal discount from AA codes will be sent
There is also a new version of AA's Aquarius to access the trial.

Remember this is for AA products only.
I'd advise to read the FAQ here- https://quanticaaudio.com/contact/
At present this will NOT offload cpu via a server so it's nothing I'm interested in plus the price is way off the mark imo.

I'm super confused. The website makes it seem like it's a Slate Raven competitor but then it seems to be only software based? Am I missing something here?

It’s very difficult to grasp what its benefits are and I have been following development on it for a while. It basically allows you to control the Acustica plugins that are inserted in tracks in your DAW in a centralised place with a touchscreen mixer. I just can’t see how that they justify a $999 RRP price tag for what is just a handy frame for some plugins. Hopefully when demoing trial version tomorrow it will all make sense

If it's just an app and no screens are included, then they are crazy to think that $1000 is a good price. Or that any price is good for it when it should be a free product for people who have AA plugins (which aren't that great to begin with so why bother with a console of their own?). If you buy the AA plugins, this should come free or other way around, you buy this you get the AA plugins with it which it does seem to have some but $1000 worth? Someone there thinks higher of their plugins than they should.
