There are 3 rules in music:

  1. Guitarists, never play Stairway to Heaven.
  2. Drummers, please. Never attempt to cover Bonham When the Levee Breaks
  3. and keyboardists puh-LEEZ NEVER attempt to coverJon Lord Perfect Strangers on the Hammond.

Welp I flunked out of music school before I got to #3. So here's a snippet of my attempt to attempt the holy grail of rock Hammond. Deep Purple "Perfect Strangers" from 1984.

What you should know about this recording:

All instruments are real, all instruments are electro-acoustic. Drums, piano, Hammond, guitar, all played with real hands. The bass is a grand piano played with a pick. In other words, no cheating, this is old school. (Take that, you AI blankety-blank)

There's a lot going on, and I think I kinda got lost mixing it so if you have any suggestions please drop em here. RIP Jon Lord, the reason I'm a musician today.
