PSP InfiniStrip v. 1.4.0

Announcing the all-new PSP InfiniStrip Earth

We’re excited to share some great news! PSP InfiniStrip has just been updated to version 1.4.0.

PSP InfiniStrip is our zero-latency, fully modular channel strip built for professional mixing and tracking - and the new Earth Edition takes it even further with five powerful new modules: Levelizer, SnapForger. TiltEQ, Enhancer, and BigBass. These tools are designed to speed up your workflow, shape tone with precision, and deliver polished, musical results fast.

As a registered user, you can upgrade to the new version for a symbolic $29 for the next 7 days (this is the first paid upgrade in our 5-year product history). Starting December 23rd, the upgrade price will increase to $39.

Passed getting this last big sale - maybe it was $49?  Still kicking myself for that!

Like all their stuff, it's pretty good! And yes, I know I grabbed it for $49 with Audio Blast's Blast Delay for free so it definitely was at some stage.

That makes the $29 upgrade price seem expensive, but all things considered, still a great price for the new version combined with the old price!

Yeah, I can understand the upgrade price turn off.  On the flip side, at least it's not going anywhere! (Cough, cough... IK MixBox.)

In their email they write: "... (this is the first paid upgrade in our 5-year product history) ..."

This is definitely not true, because they did this before (paid update) with BussPressor, also with some other plugins that they just renamed to "xxx2" or "xxx3".  And IMHO their upgrade prices are quite steep compared to the changes and/or the initial price.

By the way, BussPressor: I reported an issue with the old BussPressor (crash if you want to enter a direct value) and I never heard anything about it. Then about 2 years later they issued the "new" BussPressor that has almost no improvements (but an ugly view) for a steep upgrade price, but this bug is fixed, I guess.

The quoted text is referring to the releases of InifiniStrip not the history of company which has been around since March 2000.

If the upgrade price was $19 it would be a no brainer for me,  at $29 I hesitate.
At $6 per module (5 new modules) it's not a terrible deal but the price doesn't hit the right price point with my BF afflicted wallet.

Just look at Pigments 7.

Thanks for the heads up.  Funny thing: this morning I ran the ASC to make sure everything I had was up to date.  Just guessing that was  before Pigments 7 came out.

Yep, what with the vst3 crashes in Bitwig, I would hope this upgrade would still be free. Just look at Pigments 7.

Jeez is Arturia's website a mess.
My offers per the website are:

  • Pigments 7 (exclusive offer) - $99  but I already own it.
  • FX Collection 5 - Upgrade for only $149   again I already own it.
  • Upgrade from V Collection 9 to the V Collection 11 Pro - $349 but I'm only missing AUGMENTED YANGTZE and the new synths that appeared after v10.

At the moment though I don't really care as I'm not really using any of their stuff.
Something in the last round of updates hosed the Arturia Installer on my Win 11 machine and the installed items.
I've consulted with their tech support multiple times and got nowhere, I completely uninstalled everything Arturia including nuking all registry items, Program Data and other files and still the installer hangs. Even when I can eventually get everything to appear like it's installed, it's wonky.
I just tried to upgrade Pigments, which was working,  and the installer has hung.

I don't deny that It could be my computer, which is why I'm in the process of setting up a new one.
As things stand at the moment I can't transition most of my audio stuff over until I can budget in the new storage.
LOL by that time I do I may find I don't need or want 90% of what I spent the last decade collecting (sacrilege I know, but I'm finding there's something liberating restricting your options).

Probably TMI.
Happy Holidays!

Peace out,
Steven

Funny you should mention that $19 price.. that's exactly the number I had thought would be more fair and in the ballpark!

I think $49 was around as cheap as it went for. I'm not 100% certain on that, but that was the general lowest at least.

So to get this current version, it would be $78 to upgrade ($49 + $29) and the new RRP will be $199.

Xenon, MasterComp and oldTimerMB are all $199 RRP. I bought the first two for less than $25 on sale.

I suspect that PSP won't discount it as heavily, or at least for a while, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if people were able to buy that new version for less than the $78 we would've paid.

Back purely on cost and what they're adding. If they keep it the same for another 5 years but add more modules than these initial ones, then it might not be as bad. But without them sharing their roadmap, we can't bank on anything like that. These new modules don't exactly wow me either, but they still might be OK to own.
