jkoseattle Posted yesterday at 01:10 AM Posted yesterday at 01:10 AM I'm sure this is simple, but I don't want to try to figure it out. I have a piece I wrote for two pianos. I am rewriting it, which involves moving certain passages from piano 1 to 2 and vice versa. working in PRV, I'll take a little chunk, cut it from piano 1 and paste into piano 2. At which point Cakewalk deletes huge parts of what is already present in piano 2. I just want to paste on top of what's already there. What's the magic cryptic little icon I accidentally enabled? While I'm at it... When I select a passage in PRV, how can I quickly move the Now time to the start of that selected passage, so I can quickly cut, move to the destination track, and paste in the same spot? I've been hitting Loop on, go to Start of Loop, then Loop off, which seems like more steps than I probably need.

Are the parts actually deleted or just covered by the new clip? Set a Marker at that point. Click the Last or Next Marker button in the Markers module.

jkoseattle Posted yesterday at 03:47 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:47 AM Wasn't Ripple Edit, and couldn't find anything called non-destructive editing, but no matter, the problem disappeared on its own. Fun. Thanks for everyone's help!
Promidi Posted yesterday at 04:22 AM Posted yesterday at 04:22 AM @jkoseattleDo you ever use CAL scripts that modify MIDI events?
