It could be the only way to get Sunset reverb add-on for Mixbox.

Are you sure they are included?  I counted 77 modules in mine, which includes 5 from the extra ones I paid for way back when (the Sunset modules). The Humble Bundle blurb says 72.  Of course, that could be a typo on their part. Maybe it says 77 somewhere else?

ADDENDA:  Don't get me wrong: for anyone interested in IKs products and who doesn't already have the products in the bundle, this looks like a nice assortment! Also, the video says 70 FX modules.  So who knows what's included?

wicked  deal. all great products included.

Indeed, and it's a decent complement to the previous IK Hurdle Blurble, enough added to have me considering it. I've become fond of MODO Bass and MODO Drum, so the extra models plus the couple of T-RackS processors I don't already have are tempting.

Some of the T-RackS plugins are really great. Though the big drawback is that most of them are very cpu hungry (worst are the tape emulations). That's the cause that I mostly have a reluctance to use them. And what are plugins worth that you don't use?

Since IK changed how there's no expiry on downloads anymore, they've moved up to the top of my list of most used plugins.  This is a great deal if you haven't the maxgrade options for Total Studio Max and some jam points, which is by far the best buy.

I think one of the big aspect of why I like IK plugins is their interface and scaleability just make them enjoyable to use and dial in a sound, I never feel cramped using their products.  Some other brands I can get quite frustrated with the interfaces being too small.

One other thing that pleased me since upgrading to TR6 is that  they've dropped the "TR" version from the plugin names too (i.e. such as "TR5") which could be a good step forward.  Hopefully this helps future proof projects.

The T-RackS FX that I use most, like the 670, have been around for a very long time, probably due to my snapping up every freebie that they offer. So the algorithms are coded for the systems of 15 years ago. The newer ones....I'd use them at mix/master time, so CPU hoggery is not such a big deal. I'm one of those who still remembers that I can freeze tracks.😊

I already have most of the bases covered by notoriously resource-frugal MeldaProduction FX. I go to T-RackS when I want a pretty, skeuomorphic UI, and when mid/side processing is important. The 670 "widening" preset is what introduced me to the wonders of mid/side compression, and it has that ear candy circuit emulation too. They've added mid/side capability to many of their applicable FX (dynamics and EQ), and it can be accessed in a single instance, which is important. Even MeldaProduction's stuff needs 2 instances in order to have different settings for mid and side. With T-RackS, I can click a button to change it from stereo to M/S, and then get a second view where I can make independent settings.

for me it depends. there are a handful of plugins i always use in one form or another. but yes, a lot do use cpu. i started waves REQ as they are much less resource hungry. one day i may upgrade my game to fab filter plugis and get to see how cpu hungry they are in comparison on TR plugins.

MixBox full (which you get in the top tier) contains 72 + the Sunset add-on is another 5.  You can see the comparison chart here:  https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/mixbox/

I will defer to your experience.  But before I saw this reply, I looked up the comparison chart here. Then, when I went to your link, I saw: "What's new in v. 1.5: New module pack available for purchase: Sunset Sound Reverb Collection."

Based on past experience, your word is good enough for me and should be good enough for any one who gets the Humble Bundle.

Thanks for setting the record straight on this!

IKM  made me pay extra to get SSRC for mixbox, even though I owned the full version of MixBox and SSRC and TRacks. They really bunged that one up IMO.

I wonder a bit that you as Melda freak don't know this: All ...MB plugins of Melda can be used mid-side with different settings in one plugin. Just set the band "crossfade " configuration to mid-side and the "link" flag off. Now you can configure mid, side and everything in between with different settings (so even more than just mid side).

Sorry, to grab this thread for something not IK!

I don't actually know everything about their product line. It's much easier to just front like I do.😂

Really, outside of the FreeFX bundle and MEssentialsFX bundle (but together that's what, almost 50 plug-ins?), the rest of the stuff in my MComplete bundle is pretty dusty. They hold my interest because I think Vojtech is a really smart guy and I like the way he runs his business. It's fun to see what he comes up with.

I do remember hearing something about the MB trick at one point. Thanks for reminding me. Have you tried it? Is it fairly straightforward? It sounded kinda over my head. I've tried messing about with the MB versions of MeldaProduction stuff and didn't click with it. Maybe I'll try it some time when I want to mess with some M/S flanging or something. I bet Chandler could come up with a tutorial for it.

So far it's come down to whether I want to spend a couple hours trying to get MDynamicsMB to do independent mid/side processing or just throw on Cyclone or one of the T-RackS dynamics or EQ FX that's already built that way. The way that IK Multimedia do it is elegant and simple.

MLimiterX is my go-to master bus limiter and I always try flipping it over to M/S just to see if I like the sound better that way. I usually end up leaving it in M/S mode.

Any thread that I participate in seems to have a decent chance of going down the MeldaProduction garden path at some point....

I'm a fan of Modo Bass.  I would love to see other developers delve into sample modeling instead of promoting bloat.

I'm jealous that deals like this never existed around the turn of the century.  Free stuff back then was bad as well.

We need a bitch slap emoji for hijacking.  We are all guilty.
