locrian Posted Tuesday at 05:27 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:27 PM I have three of the Moog FXs (including the MoogerFooger MF-103S), and they all sound great, are stable and easy on my CPU. Unfortunately they *constantly* load-up as unregistered requiring me to stop what I'm doing and go online to re-authorize them. It's a real PITA! 1 1

It's a real PITA! This "feature", @locrian, is to ensure against piracy and for our security, is what inMusic, the now owners o Moog tell me. They, all Moog plugins, require confirmation of registration every 90 days. As you might have guessed not impressed by this. I am currently in discussion with inMusic asking why the {please insert your preferred expletive here}, as they know I have a legitimate licence, can't it just phone home and tell them how much I use them, without having to screw with the flow of production. 2 2

Wow, I'm really glad you mentioned this! I was beginning to think that I was becoming senile b/c it doesn't happen all the time. And the same damn thing happens with all of my inMusic plugins as well (which I've completely stopped using and buying). I certainly sympathize with companies when it comes to piracy, but when they make it so damn annoying and onerous for the honest *paying* customers, they lose them. I will *never* buy anymore inMusic plugins b/c of this dreadful arrangement. I have plugins from 250+ companies and most of them do not cause me this type of grief because they trust me. If inMusic is so distrusting that they're willing to inconvenience me, then congratulations to them because they no longer have to worry about piracy. But they *do* have to contend with lost revenue. Goodbye inMusic... 2 2
user905133 Posted Tuesday at 06:53 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:53 PM inMusic - are they the ones that now do AIR? I have had a crazy time trying with my iLok authorized AIR products that were OK before I made my C-Drive unbootable and had to create a new C-Drive. They have a siren sound at a very high level (in addition to the lower level noise injections). The siren actually hurts my ears plus the sound is introduced directly into the audio system--so changing the volume at the host level didn't help! I just check--its the same inMusic that uses the inMusic Software Center tool! BTW, after a while I think I found a solution: deactivate each and every plug-in in iLok, reactivate them on the same computer, etc. I think I also had to find the original AIR installers on my PC, because the old installers don't seem to be on line and the updated ones from inMusic might not be compatible with iLok. I hope I won't have to deal with this every 90-days. Is it just the Moog plug-ins that have this obstacle? 2
