Sonar freezes for ~1.5 seconds every time I stop playback

Hi,

I have a problem and hope you can help me: Every time I start playback in Sonar (current version in subscription) and then stop it, Sonar freezes for ~1.5 seconds. Only then does the timer jump back and I can continue working. This is incredibly annoying. 
I've checked all the settings and can't find any “errors.” 
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

When that happens the first thing I do is toggle the global bypass all effects. 
 

Another thing that happens is that windows update is running. 
Try airplane mode.

What's in the project -  is it mostly soft synths or mostly audio tracks? Was this project previously working as exepcted, and are all projects affected? What audio interface, driver mode and buffer size? If it's not a plugin, my next guess would be that Sonar is waiting for a response from the audio driver.  Does it make a difference if you disable On Stop Rewind... in Track View Options or use Ctrl+Spacebar to override it when stopping?

Does this happen with all projects or just a specific project?

Does this happen with a MIDI only project or only when the project contains audio (test if necessary)?

Has this happened for a while and did it just suddenly start happening?

What driver mode, sample rate, bit depth and sample rate are you using?
