ALC Posted Saturday at 01:08 AM Posted Saturday at 01:08 AM $45. I didn’t see a cheaper option (like $1 as in the past). 1

Maybe the new Magic owners are trying to establish a higher floor for the products to increase the perceived value. I’ve purchased the previous versions because they were so cheap, but $45 is higher than the impulse buy threshold for me. 1

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Really good value bundle, but for people using them as cheap upgrades etc. they may just miss that sweet spot. Will depend on how their sales go I guess and whether they choose to recalibrate a lower price.
Amberwolf Posted Saturday at 02:16 AM Posted Saturday at 02:16 AM Just curious, for the lazy before I go try to find enough info: --do the things in this bundle, especially the video editing software, require internet access, activations, random "validation checks", etc etc? Basically, I want to know if I can use them on an entirely offline computer system, and be able to just reinstall them without worries about the company being around in the future, etc. I cannot use a tool that requires internet access, because if something is ever wrong with the internet anywhere between me and...wherever, or the program somehow unsyncs itsefl from it's license management,it will stop me from doing my work. We all know this never happens, of course. But just in case, I require software that doesn't do this. I am embarking on a new creative process project, a Drywater Mars webisode series, and the tools in the bundle could help with that enough to be worth spending this small amount of money on them. But only if the companies providing them actually trust their users, and don't do what Bandlab products (and many other companies) do even for free software.

It's gonna be a fail as over valued. https://borisfx.com/store/?product=samplitude&host=standalone&purchase-options=us-renewal&single=1 Not bad https://borisfx.com/store/?product=music-studio&host=standalone&purchase-options=us-renewal&single=1 Some of these fail because of lack of how to use them. That was Magix biggest fail. Vegas has their own site. There still seems to be confusion in my world. Soundforge is worth that $45 if you've always used it. It's a previous version. Older versions of Soundforge just work. When companies are bought it's expected the end user pay for them. One of the reasons why I'm an Image Line fanboy is when they bought Melda and UVI they didn't mess with what those companies do. UVI is still iLok. That old Sony code was brilliant. Acid 7 is still in use by some. It's still a decent deal Edited Saturday at 05:00 PM by kitekrazy 1
Eusebio Rufian-Zilbermann Posted Saturday at 08:59 PM Posted Saturday at 08:59 PM 6x $10 producerplanet vouchers is tempting, although now that their sales are just 50% off it is much less attractive. Fortunately I got almost all of the soundpool catalog when they had crazy sales at $1 per voucher. If producerplanet has a good Christmas sale I'll probably get this bundle. 2
Xoo Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM (edited) I've put in 0.91 (which it says is the minimum) and I get all 5. I'm only after Vegas Pro 22 (if I get it - I need to see what it has vs 21). EDIT - it lies when you get to the checkout and it's put it up to £41. Edited yesterday at 01:12 AM by Xoo 1 1

I tried the same thing out of curiosity initially too! 1
Starship Krupa Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Grumble grumble, while Vegas 22 would be an upgrade, I already have that version of Sound Forge Pro. Pondering whether a single digit upgrade of Vegas is worth $45. Any Vegas users help me out as to whether it's worth it? I've never clicked with Movie Studio or Music Maker.

I will await the same answer 🙂 The performance increase looks good on paper, but how does it translate to things like actual render time (which is what's slow and tedious for me)? 1
