The title track from my new album release. I discovered you can do do tape-like looping in the free Valhalla Supermassive. So took a piece I had written for an art installation and improvised over it. Also added from Pianobook the DS Instrument Babblings by Anamorfest (quotes from Ulysses by James Joyce - hence the title).

Available for free d/load at Bandcamp https://bemused1.bandcamp.com/album/shut-your-eyes-and-see

I could tell by the waveform this would be a slowly pulsing track. I  like the almost hypnotic effect it has on the listener. Very well done. Enjoyed it.

Ha! me too .. I used to look at the grooves on vinyl to see if it matched up to the sound.😂 Many thanks for the compliment.

So good I listened twice.

For me, she could recite a bit slower from the passage. It's a real speed up when the vibe of the drone elements suggest relaxation. If you did slow her words down and perhaps add a dash more reverb to them, then the overall piece would be longer? Which I for one would like!

Very spot on for a good chill, thanks for sharing it!

cheers,

Thanks Tom. Glad you liked it. I had a lot of issues with the prose. As each phrase was on a seperate key on the Decent Sampler instrument. And each I found was at a different level  and tempo😒. So a lot of bouncing of individual files and processing involved. I did try a little stretching but it did not sound good at all.

Oh yeah. This is very nice. The dialog was a bit hard to understand in certain areas, but I think it kind of adds to the mysterious nature of the piece in a strange way. Well done!
