VisionPoint Media Group Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Hello Community, Having a problem. When I do voiceovers using a metronome I am hearing static in the take that i am recording. I haven't been able to narrow down where the static was coming from. I tried it in Cakewalk by Band lab also and same thing. The metronome is ticking when there are vocal frequencies available it seems. Audition 12_01_25 a.mp3
David Baay Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago What interface and audio driver mode, and are you using a conventional passive or powered mic or a USB mic? This sounds like some sort of electromagnetic crosstalk in the interface or mic power/preamp circuit. 1
Amberwolf Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago If you turn the track(s) down, does the problem go away or lessen? If so, you're simply overloading the output whcih causes clipping. Beyond that, we'd need to know how you have the project and metronome setup, your bussing structure, audio driver info, et.c 1
VisionPoint Media Group Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Thanks Everyone. Looks like we figured it out. Not sure why it was bleeding over, but it has stopped. The system flipped to FlexASIO instead of ASIO and it moved to 96Hz instead of 48HZ. Things seem to be ok now.
