PhonoBrainer Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) Because I had JUST popped $159 for Model D EDIT, I now realize I bought the VI Labs Model D which plays in the UVI player. Edited 16 hours ago by PhonoBrainer 1 1

After further review, the AudioDeluxe freebie is indeed something called Model D, but the piano screenshot is different, and it has a regular price if just $49. SO,it may be a lite version, but it doesn't say that. Not sure what you bought. This is UVI Model D, it's only available in Key Suite, and it's been a freebie before. https://www.uvi.net/en/pianos-keyboards/model-d.html

MrFigg Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Next question about EastWest. Is it cloud based? That is to say, do i need to be online to use it or can I download to my HD like any VST and use it in my DAW without having to connect?

It's basically just one click and 90% of the developers let you reset the authorizations immediately. Some might take a day or two. 4

IMO It's too risky as hard drives are usually very busy devices on any computer and inevitably will fail one day. I always choose cloud activation (the safest way to use a license, IMO) or a physical dongle (that i insure for a mere $30/year with the Zero Downtime plan). I got the DDMF Plugin Doctor for $19.50 with the Voices of Passion gift. 1

When I wanted to use an EastWest product on an offline pc, I had some installation trouble although I was using a physical iLok. But their support was very friendly and helpful. They explained how to install it on my online laptop and then copy parts to the offline machine. This worked well, but it was not standard. I don't know if this is still the case? 2
