Bass Guitar Posted Sunday at 03:39 PM Posted Sunday at 03:39 PM I was surprised to find that Next doesn’t include any option to “save as “or “export “ a project as a Midi file. This is a very standard feature of all Daw’s. Please consider this as a possibility for future updates.
Christopher Amato Posted Monday at 04:00 PM Posted Monday at 04:00 PM Hi @Bass Guitar - Thanks for the feedback! I'm happy to pass it up to the team. While you cannot currently export the entire project as a MIDI file you can export individual MIDI clips as MIDI files if that helps in your current situation. To do so, right click on the clip and select "Export to File" 1

To do so, right click on the clip and select "Export to File" Thanks I am aware of this. That is a good feature for working with midi clips. But rules out saving a full songs. It was a bit of a surprise because I dragged a midi copy of one of my songs made in Cakewalk and that all works perfectly fine and no problems there. I had made a few edits and as I went to save it was when I discovered it was only as a project file. Not as a midi file as I was expecting. Now I know I just won’t use Next for midi files.
