(ANSWERED)Is Sonitis Delay included in Cakewalk Sonar subscription?

I searched but couldn't find an answer. Are the Sonitus VST plug ins included in Cakewalk Sonar premium? I love the Sonitus Delay presets and really miss them.

The old DX FX called Sonitus have all been upgraded to VST 3 FX and are now called the Core pluggins.

Yes the Sonitus VST3 plugins are included. 

The original Sonitus that where included since the beginning of time were DX format which is unsupported. 

You might want to read the official announcements from staff that are posted here Look for Core Plugins.

My statement is what we were told by Staff. 
And I just confirmed that by Google. 
It say when asked if DX is still supported- No
 

So tell me who just is it that is supposed to be supporting them? 
Developers? Microsoft? Steinberg? Cakewalk? 

In my case I have Vegas and Magix, Then Band in a Box, Sonar and Im told FL Studio and Reaper ??   
And it looks like someday down the road Sonar will also ditch it. So it’s a bit foolish to include DX plugins in new projects knowing that in the future they won’t work. 
 

And it won’t be Cakewalks choice it is going to be due to a Windows update that will break it. 

Ya I know, just like people desperately  still hanging on to 32 bit and using W7, it will still have a tiny fan base and a wrapper but we have so many other choices now that I don’t think it will be missed by most users.

Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for. The Core Delay has the exact same presets. Thanks!

For whatever it’s worth, they are still working. What that means in terms of support…. They will not be updated is my understanding…because of the new core plugins. Which are actually really good…I just happened to be involved in a project where I was using the old DX versions and as of Sunday they are still working..LOL

Technically your statement is a little in correct. The old DX versions have been ungraded/updated to be VST3 technology rather than the old DX. Dropping the now somewhat defunct DX format of plugins. Whilst it, DX, is still supported by Microsoft there is a fundamental problem that 32 bit DX plugins can not work in a 64 bit OS. I have not seen any really new 64 bit DX audio plugins for a very long time as VST has dominated. We now have CLAP which has been adopted by some but not all.

The fact that both ASIO and the VST 3 are now open source should see some interesting development, though ASIO is still a Steinberg copyright.

Whilst they have been called Sonitus, for sometime, they are owned by Cakewalk who purchased them way back in the 1990's and the Pro Audio days.

An “Unsupported” item does not necessarily mean that item will not work.  It just means that you will hear crickets if ask for “support” (or at least the suggestion will be made to update to a supported version).

It's the same situation with Windows 10.  Technically, that also is “Unsupported”, but it does still work (even without ESU).

I am using ther free tier still and the old DX  Sonitus stuff works fine for me.........
