Bob Ros
I have a Midi keyboard connected directly to a Focusrite Audiointerface Midi input. But the Sound is delayed, if I hit a key on the master keyboard, it comes a few msecs later. So its unplayable. I know that it should/can work because I used the same NeoPiano with Cubase and another Focusrite Audiointerface on an old win10 computer and it played the Sound in realtime. Is this normal with Cakewalk that it comes delayed? I use Win11 with a state of the art computer.
Promidi
If you illuminate the FX button in the Mix Module, does that get rid of the delay? If so, then is it is an effect causing the delay (usually a plugin that uses look-a-head)
Bob Ros
Thanks for your answer! I don't know what you mean. It's looks now like this. It's a fresh project with nothing other than one track and I have still the lag. If I click the soft keyboard on the plugin I hear the sound immediatly. Only if I use Midi in I have the lag. The master keyboard is also working properly.

Preferences - Audio - Driver Settings, and Preferences - Audio - Playback and Recording.
Bob Ros
Thanks again. I found meanwhile the reason. By default it used the windows driver instead of the ASIO driver. The lag is gone now.
