Chester Zyric F. Dawang
It's very annoying, especially when I record multiple tracks. I couldn't solve by myself so I reached out here😁

I couldn't solve by myself so I reached out here😁 FYI: I use my Mvave Tank-G multi effects USB input to record. https://www.m-vave.com/productinfo/1106120.html
Bass Guitar
Obviously you need to read the user manual to understand the signal path used by the device. Normal audio interfaces don’t Loopback unless you tell them to. I will assume that you are using this device as an audio interfaces. I will also assume that you are connecting your headphones to it and monitoring the playback of your Daw. Does it come with an ASIO driver? If not then you will most likely have issues trying to get it to work with Sonar. It will be out of sync.
Chester Zyric F. Dawang
I don't have an interface yet, I'm currently using my multi effects as my interface and connecting my monitor speaker to it. Can't it be fixed?
user905133
(1) I assume the backing track is coming from the computer and it is not going through the Tank-G and therefore the Tank-G's usb port is not the source for the backing track being recorded. (2) If that's correct, can you record only the usb input? Am I misunderstanding something about your setup / routings? tparker24
You might try recording with Comping (rather than Overwrite or "Sound on Sound"):
Bass Guitar
Did you read the user manual yet? Or do you want us to do that for you because that’s the only way we could help you. This is not a Sonar issue. This is a hardware issue. You’re getting a Loopback via the USB system.
David Baay
To clarify what others are getting at: If playback is through the Tank G, it's likely that its output is being looped back internally to the same input that the USB port presents to Sonar. You need to check the Tank G's app to see if there's a way to disable that. This happens with onboard audio when the input is "What U Hear" or "Stereo Mix", rather than Mic/Line In.

My backing track is coming from cakewalk not my multi effects.
Bass Guitar
Well you have had 5 days to read the user manual because that’s where it will explain how to set this up. This is not a Sonar issue. This is understanding how to use the hardware. Edited Saturday at 02:04 AM by Bass Guitar
