Exporting audio with metronome, out of sync

Hello,

I'm trying to export an audio that has a metronome and guides to share to my fellow bandmates but for some reason, it's out of sync and only happened 2 days ago. I thought must be a one off problem and reinstalled the software. But still same problem 😑.

How are you recording the metronome?

Hi Chaps,

I usually do it via a patch point method so I can drag it how long I want it to for my project. Never had any issues before till now 😑.

Try this. Change the output of the Metronome Bus to New Aux Track. Arm the new Aux Track for recording. When you start to record the Aux Track should record your metronome, assuming the metronome is set to sound when you record.

Also, if you are just recording a few measures how are you extending it to make it longer? Do you have any tempo changes in your project?

No, I simply just drag it after setting the output of metronome to a patch point. When that's done, I simply arm it to record the bpm I want.

How far out of sync is it? Is it in tempo but off by a certain amount or does it drift or is it faster or slower than the guide tracks?

What driver model are you using? ASIO? WASAPI?

So the click track it plays back in sync with other tracks and the live playback metronome,  and only the export is out of sync?

Like Erik, I would want to know whether the sync error is a fixed offset or a drift or...?

Hi Starship, 

I use WASAPI shared coz it's the only driver that let me use my bluetooth headphone and I use that for mixing. Yes the click track is way off from the metronome

Hi David,

It looks like there is an issue if I export the file using the Arrangement, it goes out of sync.

Normal "entire mix" export was fine after doing a couple of tests.

Any idea why it do that?
