Need better MFA system for logging in please

I frequently have issues with the email code and login to verify my account. I work in IT and am very aware of firewalls and proxies and browser cache and all the various things that could be factors. I go through the monotonous steps of troubleshooting too frequently.  I have submitted to support before as well, and they have asked me to do all of the things I have already done, and eventually the login and MFA miraculously work again for days or weeks until I inevitably have to go through the routine again. I have seen others experience this as well. It is cumbersome and time consuming. I think a lot of these issues would be resolved if using a true MFA app that passes a token or something similar, so authentication happens automatically without the tedious copy and paste (and pray) the web authentication works this time around. Please offer a more sophisticated solution. Using an app like MS Authenticator or Google Authenticator or Okta etc is very common now. This system is dated and frustrating.
