Xoo
Suppose I have two track templates, each of which contains a track in a folder (let's say called Synths for the sake of argument). If I insert both track templates, I get two folders called Synths. Since *I* set up the track templates, it's pretty likely that I don't want two such folders created, so if a folder exists with the same name (at the same level in the folder hierarchy as I'm inserting into), then the track(s) in the second template should insert into an existing folder. I seem to remember an older version of SONAR (8.5?) supported an option for this, but this was lost on the migration to SONAR X/Platinum.
Glenn Stanton
my guess - they're using an identifier behind the GUI rather than the folder name. i can enter several folders with the same name 🙂 maybe one rationale is to avoid potential collisions and/or duplications? so, if my synth folder i have the same named tracks - do those also end up duplicated? (assuming it functions as older version).
