Korg’s M1 Music Workstation plugin retails for $99, but if you sign up for a new account, you can buy it for just $25. I know that’s not precisely 75%, but, you know, close enough.

If you sign up for a new Korg ID account and confirm your email address, you’ll see your discount code in the “Offers from Korg” section of your account.

This is a fantastic price for an excellent plugin. Anyone who has ever watched my videos will know that I talk about this plugin constantly and it's one of my favorites (if not my actual #1).

I've never seen it this low (usually it goes on sale for $50).

Version 1 went for $25 once or twice (I always regretted missing the deal at that price.). It's the 1st time I've seen V2 at this price also. Had to grabbed it this time.

FWIW, this same process/link gives you a coupon to get the whole Korg Collection v5 for $249. I had this on my Black Friday list anyway, so I jumped on it.

Ouch! Yeah, sometimes we don't realize how lucky we are these days. But if you still have it, you got 35 years of use out of it so that's not too bad hahaha

I come not to praise the M1, but to bury it.

I remember coming to a decision point on buying one, maybe 1988 or something, as my old performance keyboard had died. I tested it, evaluated, listen closely, read the ads, knew it was popular. But for me it just sounded cheeeesy.

I went instead with a dummy Yamaha KX-88 controller, driving a Roland MT-32 module. Which had its own  cheese issues, of course.

 

So somewhere out there is the M1 I almost but didn't buy, and I hope it made someone very very happy!

Yeah, the offers page says "There is no offers currently" now.
