How to add midi files as audio to cakewalk

Hello,

I want to import some material I've created in Musescore into Cakewalk. I attempted to add it, and the meter is fluctuating, but I'm not hearing any sound. When I searched for solutions, I kept coming across mentions of TTS1, which seems to be outdated since Roland has removed it.

I learned that I need to add a virtual instrument for each MIDI track, which I’ve done, but I still can't hear anything. Is there a way to resolve this? It shouldn't be this complicated, so I'm sure I'm missing something.

Thank you!

Just adding it is not enough. You have to set each MIDI track's output to the virtual instruments and the VI's outputs to a valid audio output.

Look in the reference manual, They have a tutorial on adding midi instruments.

1. Create a simple instrument track and select a synth installed on your system

2. Add, or drag your midi file to that track.

3. Make sure your track is routed to a bus that is routed to a hardware output or route the track directly to the hardwarre output.
